I suppose my kid will join ICS R2 in coming term....

But heard about bad news from existing parents lately about the chaos among ICS management.  
Many experienced teachers will leave ICS.  New teachers are offered not attractive package. You can imagine, teaching quality must drop.  The school now focuses much more on $$$.  

Did anyone hear about this???  Please share ....

I am struggling.

Never heard about this. When you keep track to see the teaching vacancies of ICS, there is not many posting throughout a year. In fact, you may find this phenomenon more serious in some band 1 schools. Each year, there are many teachers leaving & coming. It is because, teaching is not an easy career. Teacher leaving & coming are very normal in education.
Regarding the mangement of a school, a school needs more support from parents. Of operation of a school, there are many little things to do this & that. In the views of parents may always think that is chaos if a school did loose focus on something. This may not be a big deal when we think in deep. So, if some parents who don't need to work, you may try to contact the school whether you can be a volunteer to help the school.
We should remember that a success of a school needs 3 parties to work together: School, Parents and Students.
It can't lack one of them.

I know ICS for a long time but I cannot get any information of it. However, I get a lot of information of it through this topic. Thanks for your sharing. It's very good.
Are yours kids study R1/R2 there? How do you think the enviornment of ICS(kindergarden)? Last time I go to the outside of the kindergarden but didn't go inside. I see the environment seems not so good! The outdoor area is very small and just 天井area of the shopping centre. I think the air may not fresh and no colourful decoration. Actually, how about the situation of classroom and space inside? I'm affaid the environment is not stimulating and favorite to children.They need to study there 3yrs. Pls tell me more! Thanks!

Dear Tog,
I am glad that this area can help you to know ICS more or less. Our kid will study R1 in coming Aug. Before our kid was born in 2003 summer, we start to get more & more information about different ISs in Hong Kong. We would visit their campus and talk to principal directly. Finally we choose ICS for our kid. To compare with ICS-Kindergarten's previous campus in Laguna Verde, this campus is really less attractive. I think most of parents must love previous one. However, school need to save more money for buiding new campus so that they had moved to Fo Tan. Regarding the outdoor play area, it is really less attractive. I remember, CherylMum also shared with this point. You may refer to CherlyMum's point of view. Actually the indoor enviornment is really OK. In fact, our kids are required to stay for 2 years only. After R2, they go to P1 which is under operation of ICS-Elementary. Then the kids will go to Shek Mum New Campus. Meanwhile, ICS-Kindergarten may be moved out from Fo Tan to a place near new campus.

ICS offers R1, R2, P1, G1 to G12. There is no playgroup or nursery class. If there is playgroup, we would like to let our kid to join.

When I submitted the application for R1, my son did not reach 2 years old. I think you may submit the application for R1 anytime from now if you feel comfortable.

ICS does not run any playgroup currently.  But, when I sent my application form to ICS 6 months ago, Mrs. Van Hoy replied to me via email and said  "We will let you know if we are able to add Playgroups for younger children before that time. ..." (I didn't ask this question but she mentioned this in the mail proactively) It implies that they are planning to do so....??

Thanks for info from Cheerfulmama. If ICS can offer playgroup, it is really a good news.
