WOW, Congratulations.  

It is amazing in his young age he can get a prize in the group of "under 18 violin concerto".  Many many congratulations and I really would like to have a chance to attend his concert in person at a later time !  Keep it up !

Bravo !! I am sure that DBS is out to capture your son to its orchestra.  BTW, is that the secondary school your son has chosen ??

My niece (my piano student too )played 101 today and got 87 marks (2nd place).  I was so happy that I forgot to ask my sister about the comments. I must ask her tomorrow!   When will your kid do the competition?

Kate也是差不多4歲左右開始學琴﹐可剛開始只是在TOMLEE讀jmc,由於jmc的課程非常淺﹐我也從沒叫過她練琴﹐所以進步的很慢。直到jmc開始用 book 2, 看到她只用了幾天的時間就彈了整本書﹐於是就給她認真地學鋼琴。其實學琴是很奇妙的﹐只要你每天都去練﹐進步是每天都看得見的﹐從此她自己也得到滿足感。雖然她很喜歡彈琴﹐但她還不會自己很獨立的去練琴﹐一定要我坐在旁邊﹐她才會認真地去練﹐所以我很認同要想年紀比較小的小朋友學樂器﹐大人一定要付出大量的時間去陪他們 的說法﹐如大人沒有時間的話﹐就還不如等他們大些﹐自律能力高點的時候再學。Kate也試過流著眼淚叫累和說手痛﹐但很快她又很享受自己所練出的成績﹐更從沒說過放棄學琴。

Thank you for your reply! My daughter is also learning the Tom LEE jmc music course. She enjoyed it very much. She always listened to the CD and sing the song at home. Although I think the progress is very slow, I am happy to see the feedback from the course. Anyway, I agreed that we  need to take lots of time to stay with the child & encourage them to learn.

我女女(今年八歲)同細仔(今年五歲)前兩日係校際音樂節中的[全港管樂二重奏](wind duet)勇奪第一名.

我真為我的仔女自豪因為佢地要同其他43隊中學生(有o的仲係國際學校o既學生)及2隊高小學生比賽, 所以我重未想過我的仔女會取冠軍.

Hi, it's really a good idea and a chance for the kids to listen to different music and to learn and enjoy from other talents.
Definitely, I support this arrangement and will join with my daughter if time matches. I think many of the other BK parents will be interested too.
Let's think about it after the Music festival. Or maybe Easter holiday is a good time for this great event of BK.

終於等到比賽完了, 阿女攞第二(92-composer 組),雖然今年比去年少了3分,但今年我覺得某種原因, 所以會開心多點

yr daughter 很叻, violin 是很難掌握的, 我阿女因為學不好,
學了數月便放棄左了,個voilin 還係屋企等人 "領養"

評判 says you have to imagine the soldiers marching & can't be too slow but can't be too fast....(my girl's teacher say the tempo min. is 140 ~ 160).  The Champion of my girl's group played within this range of tempo.  The 評判 said no standard of mf, f, ff, p in this song, is you to decide the variation in dynamics to make it interesting (ie. perhaps the first several bars in f, following in p...etc).  I know another 評判 requested the song NOT to play in legato, & NOT to play in staccato, ie. play note by note separately.

Hope you understand what I mean as I don't know the exact musical wordings.

我的女兒是同你一場的,不知你有沒有印象,他是取得第三,上年是第二,(雖然退了一名,但分數比上年高了幾5分,相信亦是今次的對手強了的問題),他的年齡比你女兒大了幾年,相比你的女兒真是很叻呢!請問你的女兒現在鋼琴謮Grade幾呀?
