Did you join the annuel dinner of KCC this year?  Ma Sir is going to retire.

As I left KCC long time ago.  I would like to have some information for my girl.
What is the difference in between full day and half day?  According to the website information, it seems that the pm class has a better academic result than the am class, what do you think?

Did you get any news that KCC will only have the full day class after few years or will keep like now?

As all I know along, I only heard that % is around 65-70 but not 90.
I guess the info. is a bit old ~ Im not sure.

1. What is the difference in between full day and half day?
Actually, the main diff. I think is that students can finish at least part or whole of their homeworks before home everyday in whole day class and under teachers' supervision.
And whole day class is much better and smoother, but half day class is a bit rush in teaching since timing limited.

Yes, Ive read that. But its difficult to judge which class is better coz. all students' (or teachers or materials) "qualities" are totally diff. every year. And, ac. result may caused by many diff. reasons indeed.

I only heard in mid of 2005 that they have strongly "encouraged" parents to put their children in whole-day class rather than half-day class.
To me, I got a feeling that they may take off half-day class soon and whole day class is a bit better indeed.

以及常識科是用普通話還是英語?
主流班到幾年級先有science?
即是是否除左英文科外其他科目都係普通話教授,而沒有廣東話授課???
唔好意思一而再問你呢d問題,因為我要考慮小朋友應否轉校?

The one is kindergarten on Tsat Tze Mui Road, North Point.
If you are interested, I think you need school bus to deliver her/him to Tsat Tze Mui Road and the bus stop is just downstairs of that kindergarten.

They provides pick up service, lunch and tutorial services  for primary students from other schools.
Some of their "students" are from St. Paul, 循道, 滬江, Taikoo and Wah Yan etc.
And charges are fair.

Im not sure about the question of science, pls. telephone them directly.
If you have read through this topic, you must get more useful info. as you want to know.

I can say that if a school's students around 80-90% can get into band 1 secondary. I am sure that students there are doing/working and living "hard". It is not a correct way for children.
30%-40 is a bit lower standard, 50-60 is OK (reach requirement), 60-70 is enough, if any more than 75% that become too much. Peoples needs to think about it ~ my view only.

多謝你回應,其實呢個topic我巳經由頭睇到尾兩次,只不過是想問d較細節事情,反而問學校只可知d普通資料,要問實質情況問家長會比較好d,就係因為我睇過你地所講學校ga野,先引起我留意,再加深了解呢間學校.
其實小朋友原本呢間學校係冇乜問題,阿女仲係由幼稚園升上小一,而家佢都讀得好開心,只係我統計過到中學時全區能升上合心水中學只有兩間,咁當然呢兩間都係個個想讀ga中學啦,
而我老公之前都係張祝珊校友,佢同樣都想小朋友讀返呢間學校,咁我地又想預早為小朋友安排,唔駛到時先佢考,起碼係同區多一個機會派位,anyway多謝你詳細回應

多謝你不厭其煩咁一而再回答我ga問題,
兩間學校我都直接打過電話問過課程教學語言架啦,
聽落好似kcs強好多喎,可能係私校啦,其實我個人對津校都冇乜信心,始終私校家長與老師溝通係會緊密d(純粹個人見意)
kcs個老師答我英文科oral係外籍老師而平時英文堂都係由操流利英語教授而唔會加用廣東話或普通話(佢話學校規定)
而其他科目就全用普通話教學,不過p1-p6就未有science喎(呢個係唯一不足)咁佢答我ga野係咪事實呢???????

Hi ebeltang, You really great that you called KCS directly for its curriculum.  Did you also ask them on whether they will let full-day students to stay behind till 6pm?

讀高一年級, 識多好多生字, 對話模式同課文, 就算要佢地硬背出黎, 都會背多人地好多句啦.
如果另一間學校用"廣東話+英文", 蘇浙用"國語+英文", 你話兩間有咩分別? (唔關事用國語定廣東話教)
我覺得佢地English speaking方面無分別, 唔知你明唔明我意思呢? 相反, 若後者在教英文及課本方面係高人一級, 就可以肯定有分別, 因為實在係高過人.
正如頭先所講, 就算兩間學校學生一齊硬背或說出所學到既野, 蘇浙學生都會說出/背出內容豐富好多既野...
可以咁講既, 讀左蘇記, 最弱既可能係廣東話而唔係其他語言.   禁就要你諗吓你要求d咩啦. 如英文第一位, 就可能國際班最好.
可能我自己有英文環境比個仔, 所以佢禁多年既英文都好好, 超同齡小朋友. 如兩樣都要超凡, 你自己在英文方面亦要給予協助...之餘, 亦要睇吓你自己既要求係幾高噃?
