陳守仁家長入來分享吓

I found that most 陳守仁 students are good at  English but not so strong at Mathematics. There are  no student to take part in HK Mathmatic Olympiad.   Any parent could comment on this matter?

我係朝早in 10:40am, 上到樓有要等叫名, 等左好耐都未叫到囡囡, 個staff叫其他小朋友又冇人彩, 之後個staff就話邊個小朋友未in,就跟我來.2個幾鐘先走得. <囡囡個group 共有6個. 我見有d group 只有 3, 4 個小朋友. 1/3, 1/4, 的機會比1/6的機會大, 只有400幾人先有得2nd in ,所以我估囡囡都係冇機會.........>

係呀tsl d數真係好差架,只係識計英數,唔識計中數,所以米冇得參架奧數囉.   (都唔識睇中文題目,哈   )

What do you think if the child answer 看圖描述 in English. I think the child would be in advantage and be selected to 2nd interview compared with those answer it in Chinese. Right ?

我估今次學校力考的是小朋友的problem solving　ｓｋｉｌｌ和應變能力，當在全英文環境下，如果英文是第二語言的小朋友，學校會看他們的反應．我相信就算答錯了，不一定代表唔得．個人愚見而已！

咁其實係唔係一組選一個  (2100人報. 2nd interview 440人, i.e. 2100/5).  如妳地講  咁3.4人一組咪好著數.

重有如我女女個組兩個 indian girls, 兩個HK男仔---個樣都幾醒目, 加埋我個女, 假設五個都全部用英文答得好,
咁又點選呢?   會唔會 拉 curve, 五個都入晒呢 ?

不過起碼我覺得 用中文答就應該微的 chance.

Not 2100人報, it should be 2099人.  Because my son did not attend the interview.

I don't agree that TSL students are not so strong at Mathematics. I want my kid to join HK Mathmatic Olympiad but no English lesson for him (P.1-P.2). If he take part Chinese lesson,  I worried about his low standard of Chinese. For Mathematics, he is so strong.

SFA students can study Math both of English and Chinese. So, their students can have good results in HK Mathmatic Olympiad.

Agreed with shuet tam for the opinion regarding interview course.

I wasted few thousand for the interview class also but after interviewed with few of the school. I found what taught by them is just a rubbish. It's very lucky that I stopped the course after joining for few months.

My daughter was asked to play puzzle, answer question and describe picture all in English. They didn't offer option to answer in Chinese.

Hi Tippi,
小兒p1,上堂時間為8:10am-3:30pm,小息時間35分鐘,午飯40分鐘,最後一節課(2:30-3:30)是特別課(特別長:1小時),除了1天是法文堂外,其餘4天都可以選擇参加課外活動。暫時功課不多,有足夠時間参加活動。

依個interview 方式同我女六月筆試完選大約二百人爭四十個位的一樣 , 不過我女這次是十個小朋友和十個大人 , 每一個都是由校長 in , 這次我是第一次可以見住她成場表現 , 她砌puzzle 不算快, 第4 - 5 個倒先行出去坐, 但到校長問邊個可以介紹自己 和描述puzzle 時, 她與一男孩第一時間一同舉手, 在校長前面是個男孩 , 校長叫他present 先, 跟住就是我個女啦 , 她這次表現不錯 , 很啖定, 無唸過佢會咁大膽 , 最記得考完老公問呀女點情況 , 我就話有機啦 !最後收了, 根住聽某些朋友話用中文都得 , 我唸不是單單英文 , 應該會係好多方面 , 不用擔心 , 順其自然 , 可能會有好消息。

My son also went to TSL for interview Sat morning, but he said his group only did puzzles and answered questions, he said there was no describing the pricture or storytelling......also the experience was not good, long waiting time, messed up logistics, I was also stared with an angry and disgusted look by a teacher when I asked her an innocent question. After glaring at me, she looked at my son's name on his sticker, so I think he has no chance.....

n i don't think it is the rule to choose one from each group, I think they will have a marking for each kid.
