Few admitted to Ivy League, either because students prefer HK and UK or US top universities are getting more difficult to enter

The trend is that the best ones tend to stay in hk for medics and laws. Another fact is that the competition from other places ESP Mainland is getting more fierce.

Excuse me, 2 girls to The Open University of Hong Kong, but no info about course/faculty ......

Any explanation for that ? I'm a newbie working hard to learn more about this 'game'.

The professor of CUHK (Chinese University) mentioned that in the academic counseling session last week for IFAA / QFin, 9 student from LS, 5 from DGS and 5 from DBS. So 43 other schools for the balance of 61, the total intake of 2013 is 80.
Sorry, I don't know about OUHK, I am not sure it's my typo or your misinterpretation of my previous post.

I am not so sure, but a few kids via NJ they opted for UST GBus and CU instead  this year.

One of my son's classmate still take HKU AS, he prefers heavy maths related program.

Understood that you were talking about CU, as indicated on the page from DGS 'Universities in Hong Kong - JUPAS Offers to S6 HKDSE Stduents (2013)'

From there, it also says that 2 students opting to The Open University of Hong Kong, at the bottom of University table.
But no further advice on what course/faculty those 2 girls would study. Did I fail to notice something?

I am curious about what subjects from OU that the girls would be looking at.
(I thought OU was sort of an institute for adults, like distance learning as such)

So, DSE students can consider offers from OU as well ?

Is OU the last favourite option for DSE students ... usually ?

其實讀得DGS若入不到神科父母會失望嗎？
若果連Jupas內資助學位都冇學生和父母的壓力是否比
一般人高呢？
(因為付出昂貴學費)

失望總是有，失望的人除了家長，也許要加上學校和同學自己。成績欠佳，責任不一定全在學校，也有情況叫失手，讀書更不是買衣服鞋襪，同款就一式一樣。

孩子的成長過程更重要，失手與失望都可能是孩子自己多年後成功的動力。
