如學校suggest家長同小朋友轉校, o甘既係唔係百分之百入返佢地自己學校啦! 家長又有冇權唔轉校呢?
但我聽講收頭80名都係有家長於開學當日,我d朋友話俾我聽wor?!

Hi sadsam,
Has yr friend that told you so attended the Parents' day at St. Mary's in July? I heard it clearly from the mouth of St. Mary's Headmistress that all girls admitted from this year onwards to St. Mary's Canossian School and Holy Angels (at Hung Hom) can be promoted to St. Mary's Canossian College because 2005 is the 1st year of "through train".
By the definition of "through train", though every primary six graudate is guaranteed a secondary school seat in connected secondary school, you cannot expect a kid that is "substandard" (say she failed in most examination and tests) to be automatically promoted! That's not the meaning of "through train"! Otherwise St. Mary's reputation as one of the best girl's school in HK will be history very soon. That's why the Headmistress has stressed that parents will be persuaded to change school for their kids if they cannot catch up with the minimum requirement year after year (I think most renown schools are like that). That's fair enough and benefit both parties, isn't it?
By the way, not all the graduates of some renown but "non-through train" primary schools like La Salle and Maryknoll can get promoted, even though the examination results of those who cannot get promoted may be satisfactory. The reason is their affiliated secondary schools don't have enough seats to accomodate all of them.
