Good morning all,

請問大家的小朋友有無學緊"跆拳道"呀?  因囝囝由暑假開始已好想學, 初時爸爸不想因怕他"以為"自己好打的會強出頭. 但我們都好希望囝囝的身體健康d應該要一些運動配合(因winter不能swim).

所以我們去club house的course向老師查詢課程及教法etc. 都覺得好正面所以想比囝囝試吓.  下星期一開始所以想向大家請教吓.

我覺得好似幾多KV Kid 入到TSL第二round.  我肯定係KV架功勞.  因為KV d英文卷都好深吓.  自K1開始都唔係好信佢哋咁叻可以做啱曬.

各位,

真係對K3的KV有點失望, 一直忍了兩個月, 除了老師HARSH之外, 仔仔連續兩天小息罰留低完成CLASSWORK, 加沒有茶點吃, 大家覺得怎樣? 我明白KV要求高, 但如一位老師不能接受孩子有快慢之別及個別差異, 怎能有資格教出有信心的孩子. 加上他是細仔, 我已說我並不要求他有很好的成績, 因我知他寫字慢, 盡力便可, 但她真的.....太多細節不能盡述, 我要想想我該怎辨.

點解會咁架?!  您有無同老師反映吓呢? 我吾覺得小朋友學校生活應該如此law????

食茶點和小息是他們最期待的快樂時段lai ka ma.... 希望您囝囝無比他的老師影響他的學習態度.  

不過我囝囝的班主任是十分好及好能夠令小朋友集中聽她的教學, 因囝囝每天都有同我傾"老師話".  而他亦十分開心.  

如可以和其它同學仔mami傾吓和盡快向老師反映.

我囡讀個班,並沒有此問題。我建議你還是致電班主任了解情況,唔好攪到自己唔開心,你知啦小朋友有時講嘢講D唔講D架(包括我個囡)！

有時我仔都會向我透露小息要留在課室做classwork, 因佢都係做嘢慢的人, 但印象中又好像無試過吾比食茶點喎.....如果係真, 對小朋友真是殘忍咗D........你說你忍了2個月, 即是話由一開學已如此, 有無向老師了解吓?

希望你仔仔沒有不開心呀.......

我個女都有試過無得去公園玩,因為寫得唔靚要寫過....

cody有無唔唔開心呀,最怕小朋友唔開心令佢唔想返學就大件事,一次半次無得去公園都接受,但係連茶點都無就太過d,可能你都要與班主任了解和解決呀!

Hi 3lamma,
KV is like this gah la, I don't feel any warmth of it ever. However, my girl is fine with it and get fooled by those teachers, she then listens to them.
My girl cried so hard that she didn't get the bonus candy last year in K2 because she finished the classwork slow. I did tell the homeroom teacher that my quiet girl's strong reaction towards that incident. After that, I told my daughter to write and work faster. If she wanted bonus candy, she got to write faster. So after K2 tough training, she is ok now.
KV training is tough and is not quite suitable for small B. The school pushes students to achieve the best, but some parents actually are not keen on pushing their students to the top. I don't really care about my girl's grades, etc. but the teachers made me care about it. I don't want to listen to their comments sometimes because... they are just kindergarten children. What does 100 or 90 or 88 with some stars mean in kindergarten? Anyways, some parents need good grades on report card to apply for high quality schools.
3lamma, try to encourage your son to write faster and at the same time, tell the teacher not to skip his snack time. Finish classwork slow is not a serious mistake that will lead a student to be penalised.
It's just kindergarten schooling afterall.

Yes, I agree with Felicia that KV's teachers do make parents care about grades and about how neat and tidy their homework is done.  But I'd rather have him done it quickly and correctly rather than as neat and tidy as a copy book.

I recall at the K2's parents' day, the teacher told me that they would give better grades in the 2nd term report card so as to enable their pupils to get into good schools.  At that moment, I felt this was really funny and was about to laugh from the bottom of my heart thou' I kept it as a smile and only nodded my head gently.

Thank you for all your supports and concerns.

I believe my son's case reflected the attitude of his teacher only.  My elder son's KV teacher was so kind but firm and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.

After talking to her through the phone, I was very upset and disappointed as expected. I'm afraid if I disclose the details here, it will make bad reputation of the school and I don't want to do that.

Only a few parents know that I'm actually a teacher myself and I'm heartbroken to know that she's an 'experienced teacher' in handling comments from parents, by not signing my note on the homework record because she's afraid that once she's signed means that she's done it. My son came home with swollen eyes and I did not tell him that I talked to the teacher.  Guess what, after a day of 'brainwashing' at school by the teachers, he changed his 'statement' from 'I was slow so I stayed in the classroom to finish the work so I can't have snacks' yesterday to 'I chose not to have snack during recess' !  How dare the teacher used peer pressure by saying to the whole class 'I did not punish everybody yesterday right ?', the whole class of 5 years old nodded their little heads and surely agreed with the teachers.  Does this behaviour reflect what the kid feel?

My son does not want to go to school, afraid to speak to the teacher, even afraid to SPEAK THE TRUTH.

I am not going to let the teacher 'lose her golden bowl' but I will not let my son suffer either. The school will be on her side with her beautiful defence and sound evidence from the classmates.

Each kid is different and I accept my son as what he is. I don't spoil kids because I have 3 and I teach over 100 everyday.  However, being firm does not mean being unkind.  

Still feeling emotional....

唔好唔開心, 我相信老師都是想小朋友快點習慣小一生活, 因為小一生活真的不能慢, 學校唔等小朋友, 但可以的話盡量與家長合作溝通多點, 你應約老師星期六傾傾盡量令小朋友開心上學, 如少溝通誤會就出來, 老師都不會因你發表意見而對小朋友不好的, 上得教K3老師都應有小朋友, KV老師不會這樣, 希望有各別位MAMA支持, 你應約老師在校傾傾, dont worry be happy!
