Just gone to Jusco and found the SPI school bag..there were 2 types ...one with plastic zipper which is lighter..and the other one with metal zipper which is comparatively heavier....if buy from HSBC credit point...it's ok with the price of $178 ...the sales demonstrated how the bag would protect the kid...it mainly consists of a belt wrapped around the waist that helps spreading out the force for the whole back ...they don't suggest to use "wheeled' schoolbag for chidren...to prevent children from overuse with one hand when pulling the bag...with the white shoes, i have looked at Dr Kong's....they have only two kinds...each costs $399 with membership....there's also a brand called "Buster" which is cheaper ..$150 something...still cannot make decision yet.....

The correct uniform supplier should be called "Chan Bin Kee" (instead of  李炳記).

I got ours from Joint Label (they advertise in BK nowadays).

There are several others (sticky label type) :

And the cheapest is by printing name in permanent ink on cloth binding.
This is done in China, I got it many many yrs ago.
They come on something like the binding for hems on edge of clothing. (Anybody who knows needlework and catch what I mean ??)

I went to see the SPI bag about a month ago. I found the more expensive one ($400+) a bit heavy even its empty. The sales lady told me many good points about the bag but I were not convinced. I think I will buy the Hellokitty one.

經過一星期的訓練, 用慣橡筋褲頭的仔仔己懂用拉練褲去we we.  而家放心好多. 中文認字方面亦有進步, 可以認讀到第四課, 抄寫方面仍弱沒有筆順可言.寫兩行字己叫手痛.  其他科的書我收起不讓他看, 以免開學後失去新鮮感的趣味.

I got the name wrong.
There are several (many) manufacturers of cloth labels, in Chin the cloth labels are called 織嘜.
The one which advertised in BK is Joint Label.
The one I ordered from several yrs ago was actually another one called :
Jointak Industrial Co. Ltd. 集德實業有限公司 (Kwun Tong)
Tel : 2318-7518

That time I joined in a group order in BK, cos this co. only accepts any order in batches, ie you must have a certain qty before they are willing to start work.
Cost was $80 for 3 dozen labels back in Nov 2003.
Not sure about the cost from Joint Label.

(Hope my BK a/c won't be blocked just becos I named the co. haha !!)

Yes, the sticky cloth labels from StuckOnYou look very nice, but they are also pretty expensive.

I only saw Lego schoolbags, and learnt from other BK mums' posts that there are SPI schoolbags.
The Lego schoolbags cannot be used for TSL boys. (pinkish with some red and some glittering stars !!)

Suggest you go very early on Sat.  Most ppl arrive ~noon.  Fewer ppl just at opening hour.  (I went on a Sat 2 yrs ago.)

Actually you should only consider buying books at better discount than 25% off, and suppl ex at better than 15% off, cos you can easily get those discounts in 教協PTU and bookshop sale, no need to carry all the way.)

Remember we had Chin reading list last yr.  Wonder why nothing for this summer haha !!

睇完你message...先發覺我個仔都要train下著褲...但家裏只有數條有拉鏈的...有d重新嘅(8-9歲size)...但都扣得好困難...須要買過條新褲至再train 過......至於label...我之前都是用stickers...但成日洗唔見咗....佢真係好大頭蝦.....所以才有此想法...
唉...之前報咗8月中去日本...現在地震....有点唔想去

我都想過今晚去書展....但因太遲...

Really thanks for your valuable information....i looked thru other companies...they mostly charged $100 for 36 sew labels....which is around $3.3ea....with "stuck on you", they charged $159 for 50 labels costs $3.18ea..actually they require you to buy more quantity...so it seems more expensive....but we really don't need that much...the stickers comparatively more expensive than other companies.....

Yes, I remember school gave us summer chinese reading list last year.  Don't know why nothing for this year.  Do you remember we had supplementary and remedial scheme for students before summer holiday last year? Don't know why no more for this year.  I think that sort of things are good for our students.
