My no is 44x , also same time 10:00, but 9:30 must be arrived for reporting.  My son got a helloween party at school, may be take earily leave.

He said he dont want to miss the first party at school.

I wonder how can the school interviews 200 ppls in 1 hr

Do the kids have to wait for a long time b4 the arranged interview time?

Don't worry.  Just like I've said before.  The school has asked all the staff to do the interview.  Even there were only ten staff, they only see 20 students in 1 hr.

There are 250 kids in each interview slot.  Registration starts 30 min before the scheduled time.  Kids are further divided into 5 groups and kids were led by a senior pupil upstairs.  Parents were required to leave the campus and pick up kids at specified time, i.e. 1 hour later.

We went to the campus this morning at 8:30 and returned at 10:00.  Pupils were dismissed group by group and we picked up our kid at 10:40!!

According to my son, they were given a choice of activities: lego building, drawing, reading and playing.

Hello.  My son is now studying in York in K2 and we are considering applying for DBSPD next year.  Can I know if there is a lot of homework and why you would choose this one for your kid?

Did you see the teachers( interviewers )? If the teachers will not see us,maybe my husband will not come,and I can dress in causal wear.

The activities part is for waiting,right? How long is the individual interview?

You will not see the interviewer as you just need to bring your kids to the group counter & they will check the birth cert, and you can live & come back to school to pick up your kids in one hour later.

我剩係同我老爺同工人去(因為老公唔得閑), 我放低咗亞仔係操場, 個老師(唔係interview果個)同我講叫我個半鐘頭先返去, 我仲同我老爺去咗附近(即係旺角火車站果頭)嘆茶, 中午12時先至返去(我仔interview時間係11:00-12:00pm), 剛剛好接到亞仔, 仲可以帶埋佢返學添

Mine also said he watch a cartoon,but I don't know was it Barney. He told me the teacher only asked few questions. Maybe he was not so responsive so the teacher only asked few questions. :cry:

I saw Joey Tang, that drum player, this morning!

This is interesting becos some months ago, when I read some magazines and saw some pages about Joey Tang and his parenting, I noticed that his son is 5 yrs old this year and I wondered if I'd run into Joey Tang in DBSPD's school interview.  Then I saw him today.

Can anyone kindly ask your son whether it's cold or not inside the interview room? My son has just recoverd from sickness.

You won't see the interviewers and you won't know where they interview the kids.  I don't even know how they group the kids.  

The registration is done at 5 different counters according to numbers.  In the first session this morning: A=1-50, B=51-100, C=101-150, D=151=200, E=201-250.  

My son could not recall how they were grouped, but he said that there was different no. range in his group.  The smallest no. is 4x while the largest number is 24x.  

My son said that the teacher asked him questions, some general ones and some according to a picture shown to him.  Of course, he couldn't tell how long the process was.  

It might not be necessary to show to school that both parents came along to support the kid as the teachers were too busy to notice it.  However, if you think your son prefers to have both dad and mom to accompany him on this event, then the presence of your husband will be significant to him.

Hi eemay ,

My son is very 怕熱 and since today's quite hot so I decided to let him wear only a shirt and a pants but I saw many kids were wearing a sweater today.  When I picked him up I asked him if he felt cold and he said 凍凍地, but he didn't 流鼻水 and his little hands were not icy.
