last year I interviewed on the first day, and with me (ie girl that interviewed with my daughter and the pair after us) I see:
a) old girl (very active in school activity and ex-head girl, one would expect her to get in without doubt and which of course she did )
b) sibling - classmate of my girl (which also got in )
c) teachers daughter (I knew because all the students greeted the parent when they passed by - also got in according to my daughter's classmate )
so with this I believed that I was in this so-called "high chance " group . My girl was a pair with the teacher's daughter. My girl did not perform up to standard (according to what she told me) so she was the only one who did not get in this this time slot.

So, I guess for unrelated parties, even if you are ranked or placed in a so called high chance group, it won't stand you a higher chance, the girls performance is still the most important.
