好多年前了。但當年還比現在單純些。整個社會風氣如此，沒辦法。建議你送仔女去試試內地大學暑假課程，體驗下，有些人適合，鍾意也未定。祝好運！

雖然我成日講大陸的大學，不過我都贊成如果銀糧唔夠，去歐洲讀大學都好。
要注意是，歐洲的大學系易進難出，同中港臺日韓唔同，東亞的名大學，系難進易出。如果去歐洲讀書，要比心機讀至可以畢業。
你女喜歡中文，歐洲的漢學系好有名，東方語言學系亦系世界頂尖。如果畢業后有興趣做研究，去美國讀研究院都可以。
如果唔講去歐洲升學，系香港，用日文的機會系多過法德文，學日文好啊！其實，要睇埋你女意願，睇佢中意讀嘜文，每個人性格唔同，中意唔同語言，無得逼的。

朋友有家人在德國，兩個孩子都會考完DSE後到德國讀書，佢哋F1開始讀德文。有興趣去外國讀書，我建議都係用啲時間準備一下當地語言，起碼生活，交流會容易啲。

本地大學DSE要求十幾廿分呀, 好啲心儀啲嘅學科要26分以上呀

內地DSE十幾分暫時就取錄了.

而家先看到呢個 topic, 你好叻, 咁快同囡揾定資料.  我都頭痛緊, 仔一定入唔到大學, 成績又差點算好.  又無能力送佢出國讀書, 而家見到原來有咁多途徑真係好, 又多一點希望了.

去日本留學唔識日文，小心中伏。

現在的所謂外語大學課程，基本上係政府要達成佢10年前承諾提升外地生至30萬搞出來的產物。政府想得理想，民間絕對唔係咁諗亦唔係咁支持呢班畢業生。

除非小朋友有本事入到日本最頂級學府，否則將來，日本企業唔要佢，日文唔掂英文又半桶水，都幾大鑊。

基本上如去其他非英語國家留學，最好全球100大學還可能回港還有一定價值 (專科大專除外)

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)
4 Core Subjects and 2 Elective Subjects (in Category A) are required.
- Those who have not taken Chinese Language will be required to submit 3 Elective Subjects.
- Mathematics Extended Part Module 1 and 2 can be used to meet the elective requirement. If taking both M1 and M2, they are counted as one subject only.

<Applicants who will obtain the final results of HKDSE after the application submission deadline>
Request that your school issue your HKDSE predicted grades and send it with your transcript. Decisions will be made based on your predicted grades of HKDSE and other application documents. However, acceptance will be conditional and confirmed when final HKDSE results become available. Please also request that your school or the testing institution have your final HKDSE results sent to ICU.

<Applicants who already have the final results of HKDSE>
Please arrange the result of your HKDSE to be sent to ICU from the testing institution or have your school prepare a certified copy.

3. Short Essay—part of the online application form
Write an essay on ONE of the topics listed below. The essay should be given a title in the beginning and consist of 400 to 500 words (excluding the title). Include your personal point of view on the issue and / or how it has affected or impacted you.

A) Discuss a current issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.
B) Describe a work of art (painting, literature, music, etc.), a historical episode, or a scientific achievement that has impressed you and explain how it has affected your outlook on life.
C) Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.
D) A topic of your choice.

To be considered a GLAP applicant for the academic year 2019, the interested applicant must present the proof of all three types of qualifications listed below (1 to 3) in order to satisfy the admission requirements.
1) Completed, or expecting to complete by March 2019, twelve years of school education under a regular curriculum
2) The applicant must have strong motivation to study in the Global Liberal Arts Program

基本上如去其他非英語國家留學，最好全球100大學還可能回港還有一定價值 (專科大專除外)  
...

其實英語非英語國家留學都係一樣，學校排名係非常非常重要。留學唔使錢咩？父母賺錢好辛苦㗎。
