Thanks in advance, I have decided not to buy the piano from TL this moment as I am afraid my kid not willing to play in a  short period of time . That is a waste of  big money ($17,000.-)  .
We go to piano co. to play for half hr. now.
I may need your opinion later.

如果小朋友初學琴(4yrs), 又怕佢唔能持久咁學, 咁應該點呀?
租琴好, 還是2手琴, 或是買一個新琴? 如果新琴, 又應該買什麼級數?

I'm not expert but just for your reference.
I've sold a U1 1year ago to a music co. at $6000.
I've been using it for about 20years. The touching was very bad already. The owner of the music co. is very good at repairing the piano (he can remove all parts and assemble it by himself).

My point is,
1. the music co should probably be selling it at a much higher price, say $8,000.
2. If the user sell it to you directly, is the condition of the piano acceptable? I thought that would be very bad. (not the appearance but the keyboard)

The piano may not be the same as mine. Just
tell you my case for your reference. You have to test it before making the decision.

If the condition is as bad as mine , I prefer to buy a brand new one which is made is China or Korea at a price of around $12,000.

1. ottostein su-108p，原價$23000，購自曾福，2年琴，9成新，而家買$7000。

2. samick，js108，2年琴，好新，購自tom lee，佢賣$7500。

我見yahoo仲有個ottostein及richmann，不過冇model number，我見佢d相都幾新淨，都係分別賣$4000及格4500...

我前果排都POST左D Piano 既model no上來，但無人回應，所以咪靠自己周圍上WEB到八羅！一些OLD MESSAGE話比我知，同埋我都周圍問人，所以學到少少野，有Ｄ琴係朋友學緊果間琴行介紹，但係一樣吹牛，例如隻琴ＹＡＭＡＨＡ，隻琴腳已程現方型，佢（老師）仲話比你知，係學生2年前係ＴＯＭLEE 買番來，張單唔見左，CERT又唔見埋，近十年既琴腳應該係程現流線型（好似隻GOLF拍甘樣），個琴老師當你係傻既。仲有ottostein，新果D型號既ottostein應該草皆字，如果正皆應該好舊，D賣家話幾年前係邊間琴行度買，張單又話唔見左，真係唔可信。我橫掃幾間琴warehouse之後，有好多warehouse真係唔老實，虚報年齡，但終於買到。我叫埋朋友去幫眼，但好花時間。但如beginner，最好買2手，因為5知學得持5持久，YAMAHA同KAWAI比較ARM香港天氣，RESALE能力高，SAMICK同ottostein可以話買番出去，係好難LUCK手，RESALE能力相對低，如2手買回來，再想賣出，平一平都唔一定有人要。我最後買左KAWAI，朋友幫我眼。佢學到8GRADE啦！這些係我好個人既COMMENT，你可搵番D舊既MESSAGE係課外活動，4方8面既媽咪都講左好多有關買琴既COMMENTS。

關於ottostein，你話好舊o既ottostein個牌子係寫正楷，但較新出o既型號就係斜體字。但係yahoo auction上面有一個10年ottostein，佢都係斜體字，吾知呢?!!?!?!

唉，我都吾知點喇，我身邊又冇朋友識彈琴，我又吾想麻煩琴老師，但係自己一個去搵我驚比人扼... so far我只係去過松板城琴倉(火碳)，吾知係咪聽得太多negative comment，形住佢地吾老實，因為自己吾識嘛!佢果度kawai都係$15000左右，佢就講明d內部零件係換過晒(佢聲稱係原裝kawai parts，亦有證書證明零件o既來源)，個琴外表好新....

好苦惱!其實我都想買個新琴，budget吾係我o既concern。最主要係我男朋友吾比我第一次就花咁多$$買新琴，佢話先買二手玩下先，第日真係彈落去先買個自己鐘意o既琴wor...  :cry: 都o岩o既，我都吾介意買二手o既，不過我吾識choose嘛....  :cry:

I've a very old piano which was given by my relatives a year ago for my elder son (8 yrs old).  Now, my younger son (5 yrs old) joins to learn piano playing.  Both the piano teacher and the tune 琴師傅 comment that my piano is too old and has to be retired.  I'm thinking of buying a new piano for them.

I'm still not sure whether they have interests to continue playing piano.  But, I just think that it seems worthwhile when I consider two of them will use it.

I've sourced some models, grateful if you all can give comments.  I've been advised that China made models are not recommended.

Yamaha LU90 : $19400 (is it made in Japan?)
Kawaii KX21 : $21000 (assemblied in China, does it mean made in China?)
Kawaii K18E : $25000
Ottostein : $15500 (made in Korea, ok?)
