Is your son having birthday soon?

The teacher said we can keep the Theme Book at home when it is finished and there will be a "big tick" to indicate that.
If you are going to prepare gift for the birthday, it would be better to prepare for the whole class wor.
There are 25 kids in our class, so I will prepare 25 present when my son's birthday come.  
Our class teacher said that we have to prepare three sharpened pencils and a rubber in a pencil bag (Not pencil case) for the kid.

YES. Our class teacher also said that gift for the whole class (25 kids) should be prepared wor, not only 10.

Do you repeat the story of the 'festival small book' to your sons at home ?  I found this story about mid-autumn festival a bit 'deep' for them.  What do you feel?

多謝你資料。 我呀仔個英文老師都係Ms. Choi(Class A), 我唸4班都係Ms. choi教，但好奇怪佢地無phonics學,而且唔會用外藉人士教，你地小朋友K1有無學梗phonics呀?會唔會比佢繼續學呢?

Last year my son's 'old' kinder gave us CD + books for phonic self-learning at home.  But my son was not very interested in it.  

Phonic learning seems to be a trend nowadays but whether it's effective to young kids, I am not sure.

我個仔仔都係有本書+CD比佢，不過學校都有教。其實phonics都係教個小朋友點樣又一個唔識英文字靠併音讀出個生字。我唸唔多唔小都有效掛!!!

Hi, I am a new member.My son is at class A. He has got 2 homeworks on 16th Sept. Does he need to do 2 pages of the English  or 1.(Letter L and T). He is still too young to tell  me the details. Thank you!

And do you notice that there is NO Putonghua lessons?  

Many primary schools emphasize they teach Chinese using Putonghua so now many kindergartens have Putonghua lessons (at least once a week).

What do you think?  Need to learn Putonghua outside?



By the way, we'll go to Disney (hotel - 1 night + theme park) during this mid-Autumn Festival holiday.  Happy happy !!

Hello youngmami,
     It is also happy to go to disney. I think I don't go there at least half or one year because I am afraid too crowd. Last time, I say I buy 10 toys because I just choose 10 different toys & I will con't to buy the toys. I also think the phonic & putong is useful for further but difficult for me to teacher. The school had not teach it because this school may asssume  ma mi  will find the way for kid to learn . In fact this two lesion is not necessary.   Hello
Otherwise, what will you to play or to go in the coming holiday of all ma mi. I have no plan because I still have a little kid at home. It is difficult for me to have a happy hour..

1. I think my son feel happy because he is belong     to     slient boy . It does' t matter for he to stay less    activities classroom.
2.  about 25 kids in a class
3. No schoolbus from TKO

4.  Normally, they will distribute application form in Jan. It will be better to call in Dec to confirm the exact date.

5.  The kids will be interviewed alone. Don't know the questions.

What is you name?
How old are you?
What is your daddy and mommy's name
Where do you live?
What is your school?

Then, ask him to make a simple puzzle.  That's all.

Hello W27,
I think it's necessary to learn Putonghua nowadays.  But it's very difficult to teach my son at home because not in a classroom environment, he can't sit down and learn with full attention.  So I'm trying to find a Putonghua course which fits our schedule.

My son said today they also have a birthday party for 1 classmate.  The cake is a very very big Thomas train cake and he has gift from the birthday star.

我囝囝尋日收咗一份禮物回來，佢話係老師送比佢喎。
但佢又有話老師叫佢地多謝生日個小朋友，咁即係生日個小朋友送架啦。佢堅恃話係老師送，比佢激死！

至於份禮物，我覺得幾「重手」，同我想嘅小禮物有一段距離。
