Glad hearing that your girl did well in the interviews.  I'd like to know too how you did in the past two/three years as you said "跟他/她一起成長"??  Are you a full-time parent?  I think the parents  ...

Care about other people's feelings - can't agree more

Many parents are not very good in english. Or, they may not be financially strong enough to employ an english speaking maid or enroll in many english tutoring courses. However, it does not alter the fact that they love their children and would like the children to obtain a better english speaking environment in school.

Paradoxically, those parents not good in english should place their children into a school with better english speaking environment. The school can help to teach their children good english!

I would also like to sincerely seek your advice how you can teach your child so well. Really impressed by your child's performance.

"but I just know that we have to do for our kids the right things, which definitely include forgiveness and caring other people's feeling ..."

我只想講句: can't agree more... haha!!

i think u're so arrogant.

Some parents satisfied with their kids' performance during the interviews but at the end got nothing (not untrue; you can find many many precedent cases). The reality is that the game is not "really"  ...

You mean focus on the lego or focus on the teacher?

I maybe wrong, but I think the voice of that teacher(with cake) is low and I think she did not really want to get kids' attention when building blocks.

我希望你既mentality(無禮貌, 自大....)

My case:

It'll be good if parents can share good tips and experience for others who have less ability.  This is why this forum is for.
I can understand that some parents may feel really happy, satisifed with their kids and are proud of how they can teach their kids so well. That's alright and it'll be good that they can share with others their experience.  For those having less abilities, it doesn't mean that they don't want to improve.  Parenting is always a process with lots of trials and errors.  One way of teaching which can suit my kid does not mean that it can also fit others.

I do not fully agree that helper is always an evil when talking about taking care of children.  As long as you communicate better with your helper and let her understand your requirements and the reasons behind, she can really help a bit during daily routine on babysitting and assisting you to teach/train your kids some basic knowledge and daily habit, not just simply relying your helper to do all the things for your children.  However, before you do this, you and your helper need to have a good relationship which indeed builds on the trust and respect between two of you.  If you care about your helper, she will care about you and your kid.

I'm not as lucky as some of the mommies as my son's grandparents may not be able to come very often and I have to work during daytime, so I have to rely on my helper.  Other than working hours, me and my husband devote almost 99% of our time on our kid.  Can't remember when was the last time we had our own candle-light dinner.  PG,  playdates, etc..... are almost standard activities since  6months old.  The progress of my son is fairly good, some areas are more advanced than other kids, but some areas are only satisfactory.  But most important of all, he is really a happy little chap who always carries a big smile on his face.  We never give him pressure on schooling matters nor attending all sorts of activities which he does not like.  Maybe he's still too young and I need not to worry about homework and exams. I'm not too sure if I can still maintain relaxed when he comes to primary school.  I would love to hear more advice from other parents who have good experience.  Let's share more in this forum.

what you have been doing seems nothing extra to most parents are doing nowadays. Constructive idea on parenting is always appreciated. However, you'd better  be aware   of your critical comments that deemed to be very controversial. I am one of the many who  spend most of the resources in raising my kid. Thankfully, the kid was in good mood and condition in SC interview which allowed his potential to be effectively revealed. I believe that there are many devoting parents out there whose efforts worth to be highly complimented. Result in an interview doesn't necessarily reflect the achievement in parenting neither the full potential of the little ones.
