我以前也以為名幼考小學會有優勢，但我孩子今年考小學到現在為止，十有九間唔收。我孩子是大仔，校內成績兩年都攞獎全A. 只好嘆-句天外有天啦!

我個人認為就算 1st round 唔收，到時候扣門，名幼 + 成績好 都會有 d 幫助。

我孩子不是很主動形，但都是有禮乖巧形，佢間幼稚園好似好多人話入SPCC比率很高, 不過我孩子second in 都無機會， 反而DGJS 有得second in, 可惜最後也落敗！我想多人入到SPCC只因為多有關係的人讀這幼稚園罷了！

I do not think that a famous kinder is a must to get in a famous school.
My two children studied in SC and both got accepted by famous schools.  However, it was due to parents's well preparation and their performance during the interview.  Most parents of SC will prepare well for their children and SC is a big kinder which has over 600 graduates each year.  Even a
10% successful rate of getting offer of top tier schools such as DGJS, DBS & SPCC. it can create a huge promotion effect for SC.   My younger child quited from SC at K3 without any offer at that moment.  Lastly, we did it and this could prove our work.  Look for good teachers is much better than look for famous brand.

相信到最後關頭, 名幼取錄的機會會比起普通的大, 不用氣餒.

多謝thtb, 我只想分享—下自己的情況，希望其他不在名幼讀的家長不用覺得不及人。當初為了入這校，放棄了维記同真光。還要重讀k1...現在考真小也不收！我真的很後悔，害她浪費了—年

多謝鼓勵, 我們offer 也是有的, 只是不是很心儀.... 不會參加大抽獎了,免得連這個位也失去

大家一齊頂埋佢, 雖然在這段日子可能比較難過, 希望大家都派到一間心儀的小學.

I believe a famous kinders are not meant to be those in Kln Tong.  For those near your home with good reputation are also famous school, at least around your district.  

The reason for parents trying to enroll their kids there is mainly because the well discussed teaching method and culture of those kinders.  Parents do not need to "try" their kids and can expect the result.

Having said that there are still parents of not really know their kids when choosing kinders.  That's why some kids studied in famous kinder and still cannot get good result.  Afterall, parents' input is the most important one.  When choosing the kinders, we are choosing their peer group too.  So as the process when choosing the primary school.

BTW, applying primary school is another battle.  This is a hard battle and I do not have any confident, given my son is now in K2 from a "famous kinder".  The great competition dissipated all the effect of famous kinder.  haha..
