呢兩個星期Justin成日唔見晒d文具,我已經係所有鉛筆,擦膠,間尺,等等貼晒name label佢都可以唔見,真係激水我

佢話無同學仔借過,check過地下又無,都唔知佢點搞??

btw, 我係到諗, 點解我個囡又冇比佢d文具人既呢? 跟住我就諗到, 係因為我個囡d文具太cheap冇人吼 因為鉛筆佢係中華牌, 間尺乜公仔都冇架, 擦膠都係 我見人地比佢果d好靚架喎.

Hi,

My son was the one in waiting list last year.

The waiting time could be long, could be short.  If some parents are friendly enough to tell the school that they are going to give up the seat and at the same time your kid is prior on the waiting list, you will receive call or letter from the school early.  However, you know, lots of parent would like to keep the seat(s) until "lucky draw", or even, they keep both seats in private school and governmental school until final decision is made.

Writing to the Headmistress is a good way to show how you desire for it.  I did last year and I got a seat for my son eventually.   Same thing happened on the boy of my friend.  She wrote to St Joseph's (Wanchai) and her son went to interview on 1 September, and got a seat on the same day.  (They are living in Kowloon tim ah.)

Ha ha, St Joseph's is not my cup of tea.  I gave up "lucky draw" in the early stage last year.  And I didn't apply St Paul Boys.  Actually I don't like Chinese Primary School.

Easy easy, don't be so nervous.  Everyone has his own criteria, just like my friend, St Joseph's (Wanchai) is the dream school for her but a hell for me.

But one thing I could see from mine and my friend's case last year.  Performance of the child in an interview and the luck of him in the draw are very important, parents (with or without a fruitful portfolio) could help less.  BUT, when the child failed from them, parents (with or without a fruitful portfolia) could help much.

"with or without a fruitful portfolio" depends on the school's criteria in students selection (or parents selection!!).

- my case, I kept writing but no 2nd interview and no portfolio are required.
- my friend's case, she kept writing and updating the school about the portfolio, then get a chance of interview.

阿女幾緊張啲野，成日數住自己嗰6枝鉛筆，因為老師話帶6枝。同埋有時老師會問同學借原子筆，所以帶１枝。擦膠就由ｌ舊變2舊，因為斷咗！佢成日話盒顏色筆冇"肉"色，要問Anson借。

係呢，你哋小朋友有冇話比高年班蝦？阿女話有個P6大姐姐笑佢"矮妹":tongue: :tongue: ，不過佢知道自己算高大，一笑置知！

Hi, we bought the saxophone from TomLee directly, a little bit cheaper and my girl played right away. :D

She also plays piano but only a few times a day, not up to competition standards.

死啦, miss yim上星期四話比張form jasmine架麻, 點知冇喎, 星期五我call佢又冇覆, 佢又話星期五係deadline, 最遲最遲星期二一定要交比佢, 但係我都收唔到form, 真係唔知點算好.

Not sure for music festival, but for speech festival must be submitted by schools or registered members.

My son said he lost his whole pencil case last week as well.  But, the next day, he told me he found it inside his drawer of his desk and it was covered by some papers.  Maybe, you can ask your son to check.

Btw, any parents joined the swimming team of the school?

Yes, you are right, I only asked him to check the floor but not his drawer of his desk.  

Justin didn't join the school swimming team and even he didn't do the screening test.  However, I would like to enrol him into a "操水班" right now, do you have any good suggestion?

終於面試完, 現在只能等.......學校老師比我感覺好nice, 校長也好好. 請問幾時知結果呀, 請問你地現在小一一班係唔係30人呀.唔該.

I didn't join the swimming team and as we found that kids need to attend swimming lessons on both Sat and Sun (twice a week), which maybe too much for my son. If you really want to join the swimming practise, maybe try to check with school and see if they will able to arrange. It will be good if you want to train up "speed".   For me, I will keep my son with his existing coach and join the team next year.
