If you follow the link above, you will find the destinations of the graduates from Shatin College.  Many of them have been accepted by famous universities world wide including Hong Kong.  That is why SJS is so hot.

Some other ESF's secondary schools also have their results published through their web sites.

Yes, ESF schools are always the best (ones of the best) among all international schools in Hong Kong. That's why there are always long waiting lists.

答你唔難，不過希望你唔好用 (2) 同 (3) 的答案來衡量一間學校的好與壞。

我覺得家長唔好在活在 1980 年了，
選讀美術唔代表係醫學院唔收，
去外國讀大學亦唔代表香港冇大學收。

講番你想知的，你問的 "出路" 係乜野意思？
ESF 只係中學，你係唔係想問入大學的情形？
咁我覺得要睇個人性格能力，喜歡邊一方面發展，
全世界咁多大學，我估學生係有好多選擇。

至於做醫生，廿年前 ESF 畢業算唔算？
親戚朋友中，都好多以往讀 ESF，
不過都係我這一輩的，而家有律師，有醫生，有老師，有 DESIGNER，等；不過個個都唔係香港讀大學。
但我知，其實間間國際學校，每年都會有 d 學生選擇讀本地大學，不過數目唔多，大部份都係遍向選擇出國，尤其係外籍學生。
其實，好多家長或學生，都唔會安於留香港讀大學，唔好誤會，我冇貶意，不過，去另一個地方讀書 ( 即使係澳門，北京 )，都係一個 experience。
至於選科，其實在國際學校讀書的孩子，唔會同主流學校讀書的孩子一樣，只把讀醫和讀法律定為 "成功"，定為唯一 "目標"。國際學校的教育模式，容許孩子有多方面的才能，鼓勵孩子在多方面都嘗試，亦給與孩子多方面的栽培。其實，大學選科都要看看孩子的意願和興趣。

SJS 係小學，SC 係中學。
港島的 IS 同 WIS 都好。
我冇這兩間入大學的數據，唔知有冇人有？

Hi 丫頭,

Shatin Junior, SJS, is the feeder school of Shatin College.  Almost all students will be accepted by Shatin College.  That is one of the reasons why it is so hot.

Many thanks for your information on the graduates. Now I have a vivid picture of where graduates of Shatin College will go.
The overall results of the graduates of Shatin College are good indeed.
By the way, my son will go to Shatin Junior School this August to do Year 1. I hope he'll be doing well.

It is a long job. Sorry, I don't have the time.  But I can advise you on the method.

The search path is:
1. go to www.esf.edu.hk
2. find the links for schools
3. find newsletters or reports to parents
4. also search topics under PTA
5. at last use Google

You can at least find some useful information about the school you like.

yep, I think they can still go for the 'lucky-draw allocation' for local schools.
But why don't you let him try some private or DS schools?

I will try private or DS schools, but many parents in this forum said that SJS is good and not easy to be admitted. I think I will try first and see the results.

現在有很多的家長都係將個小朋友放入國際學校讀Year 1，然後再去報小一那個大抽獎的，如果考不到的，會留係國際學校，考到的到時再考慮走還是留的。就算要走，但家長認為起碼係這一年間都可以將小朋友的英文底子打得好一些，對於將來選校亦有幫助。

good idea, but if their chinese is not good enough? nowadays, K3 teaches a lot of chinese and writting.
