方方樂趣幼稚園--有冇媽咪可以比意見?

方方樂趣有幼兒園、幼稚園同小學，如果小朋友讀得開心，可以讀足10年，早幾年學校好出名，但點解而家好似唔係好受歡迎呢?

我周四打去問(九龍塘對衡道)，想幫囝囝報07年9月的nursery，佢話有位，叫我帶小朋友及所需文件本周六去見，連名都唔駛留低，好似好多位咁，究竟呢間學校有甚麼好與不好呢?有冇媽咪可以分享下呢?

From my opinion, this kindergarten is not "transparent" at all.  For example, some kindergarten has 觀課日 for parents to understand better the school life of their kids.  Funful does not have.

apart from this, you have to consider if you wants your kids to have happy kindergarten life or academic school life.  The syllabus of this kindergarten is more difficult.  Kids write words from K1, other schools have the kids writing from K2.  From K2, they have dictation as well.

My son and his cousin studied from N1 at the Tsuen Wan 分校.  The cousin changed school from K1 because the cousin cried almost everyday when he went to school; however, he is not able to tell why.  My son changed school from K2 2nd term since the syllabus is difficult as I mentioned before.  It's especially hard for 細仔細女.  so please think what kind of school life you want your kid having.

好多謝你的寶貴意見，我都聽聞方方的課程屬於較深那類，但如果小朋友的能力可及，卻不是一個很大的問題，反而學校同家長的溝通，老師是否有愛心等十分重要，你覺得後兩者是否都不足夠?你囝囝讀左兩年半先轉後，你覺得佢開唔開心?Nursery同K1的課程有幾深?

嚴格來說，我不想囝囝讀"太嬉戲"的學校，但太深又驚佢能力應付不來，中庸之道的nursery又爭崩頭，好煩。

I am not sure about the school at Kowloon Tong, but according to my experience with the teacher at Tsuen Wan school, I'm not impressed by the teacher.  My son was quite OK when he is in N1 and K1.  However, after one month of K2 school life.  He did not want to go to the school.  One of his classmate (also a boy) was the same.  From what I learn from my son and the aunt of this classmate, I came out a conclusion that the school life of K2 is not as interesting as before, also the teacher is not patient enough.  As I said before, the school is not so "transparent".  So, may be you have to consider if you concern more on the the communication between teacher and parents.

I am searching some comments of this school but seems seldom feedback posted. I live in Tsuen Wan and my daughter is studying at playgroup since 18months. I want to find a 2nd term nursery class before K1 started ( My girl i s small B ). I am just thinking if Funful is OK or not. The envoirnment is definitely good but I just wonder if the teachers are good. But it seems that there are not many nursery available in Tsuen Wan especially for 2nd term only. From all comments to me that Funful is '  Ma Ma' but the school fee is expensive in terms of its
' service'. Really don' know what should I do.  Any idea please....

綜合兩位媽媽的意見，就老師愛心而言，似乎方方樂趣荃灣及九龍塘分校差別很大，但課程就要預左係深過人。

上周六我帶囝囝去對衡道分校面試，interview的內容主要是認字，我個仔(21個月)對英文字母及英文字比較敏感，佢自己又好鍾意睇書，加上面試當天好似「上左身」，不怕陌生人，所以基本上能答晒所有問的英文字，林主任亦有點驚訝點解佢認得咁多字，所以我諗方方這類較深的學校都可能啱佢(比較擔心是他的大小肌發展較慢，k1寫字可能是問題)。

不過，始終小朋友很細，不懂表達學校的情況，所以我覺得老師有愛心，及學校與家長溝通十分重要。

corliss_yu，請問你認為方方(對衡道)的透明度高不高?學校與家長的溝通是否足夠?為何你不讓兒子繼續讀方方樂趣英文小學呢?可否透露一下你囝囝都能成功考上的四間小學?最後為何選擇而家讀緊呢間呢?對唔住，很多問題，但實在很少BKMOM能回應方方的問題，唔該晒...

Hi, my son has studied in Tsuen Wan (Riviera Gardens) Funful N1 since last March (after he was 2 years old).  I also don't know how to decide his K1.  Seems that he like Funful very much, everytime when I ask him and he says happy and even during Christmas holiday he wanted to go to school.  Now, my son was accepted by St. Catherine for K1 PM class.  Really don't know how to choose! But, I also think Funful's syllubas is difficult, but good for K1 interview in other Kowloon Tong schools.

我亦聽聞優x是一所很好的學校，希望你兒子讀得開心，女兒在不久的將來也可以找到一間合適及心儀的小學。

Dear all mothers,

At the earlier time, i had also posted the same questions to this forum, but seldom feedback to me. It is concerning about the comment on Funful Kidergarten. So today i am glad to hear all your comments on this kindergarten.

Back to me, my son (27 months) now is studying nursey in Waterloo Road since Oct 2006. and I will deceide for him to study K1 in Kowloon Tong in this coming year. The reasons are: he has learnt A-Z, Colours (red, orange, blue, yellow,green, etc.) Chinese and English Vocabulary, counting, etc. I saw him have a great improvement after he studied in this nursey. Although, the course for nursey is difficiult, i think it is value for him. Apart from this, the teachers are very nice and cautions. They always phone me whenever my son has problem or get any improvement.

Therefore, i highly recommended your sons or daughters to study K1 for this kidergarten

Just wonder why you choose Kln Tong branch instead of Waterloo Road one? The Kln Tong branch is very large despite the building is old. The officer (Ms Lam) is very nice and other 嬸嬸 seems good.

Probably I will choose Kln Tong branch because it closes to my home. I haven't took a look at Waterloo branch.

Besides, do you think it is difficult for a kid to write words in K1 level?

Any moms have comments on writing words in K1 level?

可唔可以具體一點講，你聽聞方方點唔好呢? 透明度? 老師愛心不足? 還是...(話明係傳聞，講來聽下)

K1要寫字可能會難了一點，但事實上好多幼稚園都要求K1寫字，ST.CAT, 根德，迦南，劍嗚...只不過寫字的程度有深有淺而已。(教署建議K2才寫字，所以相信這亦是李局長不肯俾學券跟人走的原因之一)

我朋友就形容根德園完全無social life，沒有學校旅行，沒有畢業典禮，學生只懂做功課。

其實我覺得每間學校都有好有唔好，家長應該小心衡量優與缺，為自己孩子作出適當的選擇。

Dear Olima,

The reason why i choose Waterloo Rd Branch as my home is nearby there. Actually, I think all the kindergartern have their own charateristics and their style.  I choose Funful as my son has already settled down there . Everything seems ok now. Compare with the last three months, he has great improvement. Beacuse at the very beginning, he had cried all the time, but after one month later, he tried to settle down.

除左係貴D之外﹐其他樣樣我覺得都唔錯。

我小朋友都有係荃灣方方讀國際班N1，佢課程都幾深，而且我覺得先生又唔錯，尤其是岩岩開學果陣，佢會打電話黎同你講番小朋友宜家情況，同埋我小朋友真係比以前學左好多野，講野又叻左，但係始終出年學貴比較貴，所以出年會比佢讀其它學校。

我囡囡0係對衡道果間方方讀緊k1,我囡囡好鍾意返學呀,佢話好開心,先生對佢好好,同學仔又好,我日日接囡囡放學,多數都會見到囡囡班主任,囡囡有咩問題佢都會主動同我講,我有咩問題我都可以直接問先生,我覺得幾好呀

How much is the school fee for N1 and K1?  What's the difference between the international stream and traditional stream?  Is there any English and mandarin native teachers at school?  Is there any nursery class at Discovery Park?  Would you recommend the nursery course to other mom?
