My own experience is an example.  I studied History in my P.6.  The History textbook, which was in English, I used in my primary school was the exactly the same one that I used in my Form 1.  However, it didn't make me any brighter in my secondary education.

I dont agree with you.  The gov't cut a lot of math sys this year, so the standard is easier than before. I am the math tuitor and know the level of math.  It is depand on the ability of the children.  Kumon is one of the sample , means P1 kids can do upper level.  
If passed the level, kids can promote to be upper level.  Hmmmm actually maths is not diff if you have enough practice.   I just want to find a school in  upper level, please let me go.

基礎都未打好，小朋友會好辛苦，如有意讓小朋友入讀呢類學校，最好在K3開始就温定P.1 既數。

就算係Kumon Maths, 佢地係吾會按年齡去教小朋友，而係按小朋友能力，e.g. P.1 可做P.3 既數，但係能夠學高過本身程度既小朋友, 都係 step by step, 佢地真係下過苦功ka, 吾係跳step 去學，我個仔初學Kumon Maths時, 仲要做低一個level, 目的都係打好根基，吾好咁快令小朋友有 挫敗感。

我覺得係睇個人能力,叻d既小朋友,佢地應付得到,讀深一級都冇問題,反而佢地讀來讀去都係淺既程度,仲失去左學習興趣.........但係如果你既小朋友唔係真係咁叻,就唔好揀呢d學校,免得嚇怕佢地
