keen mind or Kenville, what would you choose?

if you were you, what would you choose ??

1. Keen Mind
-  I like it because it has more warm family feel, nice
   teachers, same size class, which even the
   嬸嬸 of the school can recongize your kid..
- I like it has a lot of activities, parents can get  
   involved of this.
- It has NET in the school, i have choosen the international class, one Chinese teacher and one Native into a class, and i know there is additional assistant in the class.
- owner of Keen Mind is ex-princple of La Salle, who can know how to match with the primary school.

disadvantage: new school with only 5 years history, concern it is difficult to enter famous private primary schools.

2. Kenville
-  well experience to train up kids into more independent, example : do homework by their own.
- strong in maths/Chinese, also offer mental class.
- well matching with local primary school system.
- easier to enter into famous traditional primary school( private )
- kids can have good discipine.

disadvantage: no NET teaching English, Kids may not speak English well in front of strangers.
traditional teaching, no activities...

Comment on Keen Mind:

Your input on disadvantage for this kinder is wrong.  Please go to its website and check.  Many KM graduates went to famous private primary schools.  The percentage is high when compared with KV and SC.  My son is now in K3.  He is smart (to me ).  He has been accepted by KRS, SFA & KTS.  If he cannot get a place with my targetted school in the lucky draw, I shall let him to study in SFA.

KRS = 禮賢 Kowloon Rhenish School

小兒只是讀local班，我覺得我將來都不會給他讀國際學校，所以當學校問我轉不轉班時我已即時拒絕。

其實我相信KM的程度是屬於深的一方，小兒要學寫的中文字都幾多，有教普通通話，老師教得好好，阿仔的普通話很標準、動聽，不過不是每一天都有得上；英文有net，好像是30min一日，有教phonics，書內的字很多都很深，我都要查字典，又要學整句句子、grammar；數學有中數和英數，本來9月開學時要教直式，但老師說因為很多小朋友都未得(?)，所以要下學期才教(給她激死，阿仔已做的直式竟然叫阿仔擦晒去)。

不過此終都是那句 ─ 父母要跟貼學校的進度，如果唔係就算那間幼稚園幾好都是沒有用的。

May I know if your kid is the smartest one in the class or the % of getting into famous private primary school is high ?  How about for girls ?

我和其他家長唔熟，所以到目前為止我都唔知d同學仔考私小/直資的result是怎樣，而且有d學校都未出result。舊年的result就幾好，可到學校的網址Keen Mind看看。

小兒的成績是前面那些，不過不是最好那個，他太大意又心急，時常都錯d唔應該錯的o野，但在我心目中他是最好的。

女孩子的result我唔知好唔好，只知學校得好少女生。

thanks for sharing. From the primary school topic, i just saw some Keen Mind students also can enter SFA. It proves that KM students are also in higher academic, as SFA needs paper exam for interview.
Can you share more about KM, as your son has studied for 3 years.
BTW, do you think the English level in KM is high or not? is the phonic good ?

我對phonics有所保留，我和老公都唔識，教唔到，阿仔的表現又好似唔係好識。我有試過另外比錢join學校sat的phonics class和林慕德的phonics course去幫佢，但都好似無用，他像不明白。現在唯有等他上小學的時候再試過。

唔係呀！我一知道聖方濟各收咗阿仔就放棄咗禮賢直情唔去註冊啦！因為sfa放榜日和禮賢的註冊日是同一日，現在還考慮緊kts，不過多數都是保持原狀。

我都會參加大抽獎，因為始終目標是唔使比學費。

Ianmami... 我杯茶原來全部同你一樣, 但我會再睇清楚先. 我friend個女在聖方濟讀緊4年班, 佢話這學校會"谷"得好勁. 我鐘意佢D成績但唔太鐘意"谷"......

至於LS, Carson有20分; 希望第1round好彩會收啦!!

1. ls好學校 free of charge 一定係我杯茶 要派彩
2. 聖方濟 學校谷, 小朋友乖, 名氣, 仲有因hk 教育制度下只可以講無計啦.  
3. kts 我心宜同理想小學.

someone told me a teacher in SFA, she said she finds very difficult to teach the students, as the required academic level is very high. For this year interview, students need to do the exam papers with 乘  數.. so how can a k3 students do this ??
so i really want to know if KM will teach students about  乘  數..
