啟思幼稚園(Mrs LuK 果間) 家長,面試結果如何

由於啟思是活動教學, 所以程度較低, 小兒和他的同學都未能有好的成績, 各 位啟思 k3 家長,你們的面試結果如何,可否能分享你們的意見.小兒成績 4:1 , 當然是 4 間唔得,現在只得禮賢收,有 d 失望,只寄望 lucky draw.

啟思學生在識字、英文及普通話方面都麻麻地,報學校時競爭力相對較弱,所以我舊年大仔考學校之後,知道問題,12月立即將大仔(K3)細仔(K1)一齊轉校,學費又平左tim。

Dear jj2458:

My son student at Lam Tin Branch K3, He apply three private school also accepted.  Finally, he get a seat on 1st round of government school, I will study at the government one.

Due to some comment to Creative is lower standard of academic, but when I compare my cousin, their standard is similar (no big difference.)

To be fair, I don't think Creative's standard is that bad. Maybe you will find that they don't stress on spelling or learning difficult words, but the children learn a lot of knowledge.
Both of my daughters graduated from Creative and they were both accepted by HK True Light. My elder daughter is now P.5 and she always ranks the 1st few places in class. My younger daughter did not join HK True Light and instead joined an English school. She is now in P.1 and has no problem at all, even for English Maths and G.S.
So, don't worry.

The education concept of 啟思幼稚園 is quite good, but I think it is not easy implement or accept by many parent . Since there is many evident that those famous school like DBS , APS or SFA are not willing to  choose those student from 啟思幼稚園. Even those active learning school such as CKY or Pui kiu also need to test the capability of English, Chinese and 普通話 during interview. I am quite worry how can a student studying in  啟思 can perform well during interview.

I shared the same view that it seems that English & Putongua a little bit weak which affects the result esp. at interview at HKUGA.
My daughter get 4:2 & is accepted by "LogosAcademy" & "egasus" luckily.

啟思幼稚園 never provide the past records which primary school selected the kids from 啟思幼稚園.

The X'mas show will be arranged at school  but not 浸會 . It make my son so disappointed as he is well prepared for the show . . I also want to know that is other branches have such arrangement. Last year, 校監 MRs luk shows very proud with her school and stress that no school will has  chance for a kid to participate such large show in such large hall. I don't know why they have such arrangement. it make me feelthat the school is becoming very commercial .

我個囡讀緊帝堡城啓思，學校有貼到去年小一派位既統計圖出黎，可以睇到幾多人入左邊間小學！

今年既聖誕表演的確不再响浸會大學會堂搞，我個間的老師話會改响啓基小學既禮堂，唔知其他分校點。

講真句，租用大學會堂係要錢的，而且唔只一日，以往咁多年都係學校出錢，家長一個仙都唔駛出的，如果因為租金昂貴而改在其他地方或响番自己學校搞，實在無可厚非。

我個女以前都係讀藍田啟思的,佢係考小學都無問題,間間都收,有時考學校都唔一定全部係注意學術上既野的,臨場表現都好緊要,例如小朋友要定d,唔好怕羞,一定要開聲講野,就算唔識都要講'條題目好深我唔識'等,千其要保持笑容,唔好有小動作等,我以前都係咁教我個女去考試,反而我無咩教佢學術上既野,因為有好多學校都係面試無筆試.

其實啟思係k3都有默書的,不過係默生字,佢地唔叫默書的,係叫記憶遊戲.

我到現在都覺得啟思既教學方法真係幾好.

My sons were also past students of Lam Tin Branch. In term of academic performance on English, Chinese and PTH, Creative is lower. Creative may has its own strength. But those strengths are only a little bit help for getting certain private/DSS P1 place.

Agree with your opinion. The kids from 啟思幼稚園 not easy to get a seat in some good schools.

I think, whether the kindergarten is good or not, it all depends on the character of your kid and what you want your kid to learn during pre-primary education period.

Mrs. Luk's pre-primary education concept will not put much emphasis on preparation of HK primary school interview but learning attitude and whole man education.

Some parents shared with me that the frequency of children to share their toys, food to each other, have greetings to person and say thank you, etc.... is very high for Creative children.  To me, their EQ is also higher than others.

For academic side, to be honest, the level is lower as compared with other kindergartens, esp. those in Kowloon Tong.  That is why I need to take some "extra-curriculum" activities, mathematics and English for my kid but with her willingness.

However, I have some disappointments on recent changes in school administration.  Yes, they are turning to "commercial".  Maybe due to lower birth rate!!!

Frequently selling her “products” in schools, setting up Mrs. Luk’s xxxx (forget the full name) learning center in schools.  All these are “commercial”!   They should also introduce good books and seminars of other associations.

Also, high turnover rate of teachers and the ratio among children and teachers is higher than before.

The X'mas show will be arranged at school but not AC Hall also make my family so disappointed as we all well prepared for the show.  Yes! Mrs Luk is very proud of her students having many opportunities to participate performance show.  How about the kids this year and thereafter?  The reason, I think, for such change is MONEY.  The excuse that children cannot stand for so lengthy show is nonsense.  Can we split into 2-3 sessions for N1-N2 and then N3-N4?  Can Mrs. Luk shorter her speech?  Should they do a survey about parent’s comment before making decision?  I think, most of parents are willing to pay MONEY (HK$1xx-200) to get a chance for their children to participate as we already paid the school fee ~$29000 per year.

Dear Jenney,

I total disappointed with the arrangement of X'mas show. As my son is learning drama and he has confident to have good performace in the show. He is very sad when he knew that the show is performed at their school instead of 浸會. I think most parent would prefer the show perform at 啟基 to at their own school .

totally agree with you. The school tend to be too commercial, Mrs Luk like to show up her education kindgom (啟基,啟思,晶晶教育機構, and 嶺南同學會小學 (今年轉直資Mrs Luk 是校董會成員). I think 啟思 would not focus or like to help students to prepare for interview at other school, on the other hand they are willing to spent more time to persuade parent to send their childen to 啟基  .

  Finally I like to say, school life of  啟思 is very happy and enjoying. But please don't   expect your son can go to some famous school . Even those some active learning primary school such as CKY, pui kiu .... would need to test the capability of english , PTH and chinese. I don't think student of 啟思can get good result in the interview. I like to suggest  parent should  let their son to have more extra activity and let her do more academic exercise . Parent should put more affort if they expect their childen can have more chance to select their primary school.

I have just received a  result of interview -----fail.

I believe most of children have happy life in their kindergarten time even some kindergarten put more academic trainings on their students.  The children will be very happy whatever they playing together or studying together. The children do not know how to compare the difference of the kindergarten,  it's all depends on the parents how to choose it for their children.  If you expect your children easy to go to some famous school , even those some active learning primary school , Creative is not the good choice.
All kindergartens can teaching baisc learning attitude and whole man education to the kids, and I think the 5 years old children have enough abilities to get more academic training, especially for langanges.  But at Creative, they just have one English tutor (maybe the part-time since turnover rate is very high). If parents choose Creative, please put more affort and training if they hope their childen can have more chances to select their primary school.

My daughter graduated at 啟思and is now P.2 of 啟基. She enjoyed study so much and have no academic problem at all.  I also let my son study at 啟思(k.2 now) too.   Main concenrs or agruement  may be due to the education concept and how parents choose the primary school (traditional famous schools) for their children.  If one what their children start to learn difficult words so early during the pre-school stage, 啟思 will certainly disappoint them. But if we want our children to have whole-person development and have a happy and healthy pre-school learning experience, then 啟思 is fine.

Anyway, I also like my son to have opportunity to perform in AC hall as last year.
