請教今年申請RC情況

想問下今年行one form ，n無人仕有無得interview? 同埋有無offer?

My son’s kindergarten used to be RC’s feeder school. We are the “No priorities”. This year, only one out of 8 children applied has interview, and he’s still waiting for an offer from the reserved list. But I know some got interview and offer without priorities. So it really depends on LUCK.

Thanks for your sharing. The chance seems low for this year. I am considering to purchase INR but that one is quite expensive comparing to other IS’s refundable debenture

We have no priorities, and we put RC as 2nd choice after catchment zone.  No interview chance.

May I know if the 8 applicants all put RC in first priority but just one got interviewed? If so, very worse situation than I would expect for one form

Here is the reply fm Rc admin on FB:
I can only answer mainly for RC.  The priority kids' number this year, before the interview, was close to the seats available.  Most of the ESF schools on the KLN side have similar situation.   Hong Kong side (where there are 5 ESF primary schools located) may be different due to the fact there is only ONE ESF kindergarten on HK side and the populations are less.  This is just this year, can't say it will be the same next year.

Yes, because we were asked by the principal to put RC as first choice. Guess nobody would risk putting SJS as first choice. It’s out of our expectation too but we’re lucky to have offers from other international schools.

居然係咁，咁似乎RC more popular than SJS? 最初諗行one form應該會少左人放RC 在第一位，咁無priority真是無望interview

SJS 一樣熱門，同樣有ESF kindy students 落空要入RC.一係俾NR, 一定有得in先！

咩原因咁熱門呢?睇返上年數字，RC似乎都有唔少數目讓non priority kids interview 的, 但one form居然令佢再熱左?會否因為連其他區的esf 家長都怕自己zone esf too hot, so subsequently put RC in 1st for lower risk?

令到esf kindies 已差不多fill晒學位， 所街外人連interview都無希望?

建議你了解一下one form嘅運作先，你就會知點解其他幼稚園嘅人連interview都冇機會。簡單啲講，ESF kindergarten嘅學生就算將RC放2nd choice, 甚至3rd choice, 都會比其他幼稚園嘅學生優先獲派學位，所以學位今年都給他們取得了，其他幼稚園就沒有啦，除非你買NR gain priority.

其實今年先報已經好彩過我地，我哋知道自己冇得interview，有家長想立即買NR，已經唔賣啦。

原來係咁，我以為放RC 1st的，收左esf kindies, 就輪到other no priority 的1st choice, 無諗過會俾放2nd or 3rd的esf kindies 優先取錄。
就算係咁，似乎都未解釋到今年RC熱左咁多原因，因為未行one form, esf kindies都會報幾間包括RC, 咁如果RC一向都優先考慮左esf kindies先， 咁以往都唔應該有較多

假設RC 一直優先考慮esf幼稚園學生
但坦白講有啲ESF 學生
有報 SJS or KJS or BHS 同時有報RC
當 Esf foundation sch 有offer時
有部分學生會選擇到 foundation sch
而RC 會當左係佢哋後備

RC 辛辛苦苦每年揀600人出嚟interview
學生最後成功咗有offer
但佢地又唔揀RC
你覺得RC 感受會好嗎？

可能要等來緊yr 1 school tour 先有較清楚數據睇one form的effect.
Or maybe this year difference is not mainly due to one form, is an effect due to exempted interview of esf kindies?

以前RC一向鍾意收外面幼稚園，並不是優先考慮英基幼稚園生的。SJS就鍾意收英基幼稚園生。咁而家連面試都冇，就肯定冇得收啦

It’s good to hear from ESF side. From what I observe is that ESF kindy students are 100% allocated a place at ESF schools, while non-priority ones have only around 5% chances of getting a place at ESF year 1 (even for those kindergartens who were feeder schools to RC)*i’m talking about Kowloon and NT only*
