Dear Mayc,  

I heard that a lot of parents applied 浸聯 for their kids.  She only intook 1 student out of 5 or 6 applicants in the past.  My girl only have 15 points in the first round, that means she can only wait for the second round.  Is there any tip to increase the chance of  entering the school?

By the way, what is the workload of this school, both for the kids and parents?  How dose she access the achievement of the students?

I can say :  浸聯 Very Easy and Very happy...

特別是芵文,
比worksheet你做,無例子睇,
無教過tense,
預左你一定識(或家長一定識),
考就一定深過書好多,
如果你小朋友肯做好多其它exercise,
都得,若唔肯,
就無謂大家咁辛苦,傷和氣

I have considered 浸聯 before but did not choose it finally. It has about 65% students in band 1 but only has around 30-40% entering into English schools. So it looks a bit risky. (anyway, its extra-curricular activiites are quite outstanding.)

Yan Laap should have better chance to English schools as it affiliated with Lam Woo. But it is quite difficult to enter to Yan Laap P1 (particularly the old school). And the p5-6 in the school is quite competitive for ranking.

因我女女只有15分,
又唔係讀得好辛苦,
睇你係咪要同人地比啦,
我女女都讀精芵班,
但可以時好時壞,我比較注重小朋友的學習意識,
失敗幾次唔等於永遠失敗,
有好多人中學先發力,
有好多小學比人迫先讀,上到中學咪唔得,
唔好太差,有正確的求學問態度最緊要

你個女是否好自發溫習同做功課架?

因為佢係band 1 的小學,
所以會要求學生程度幾高,
可以咁講,如果你的小朋友肯做額外的作業,
應該可以跟得上,芵文要好,因佢出得深過書,
如果小朋友唔係咁鐘意做作業,
咁讀得會有困難,不如搵間淺些的,
在一間淺的考得好,好過在一間深的考中間,
我地每級大多有190人,如果考過100,
會派得唔係咁好,不如去間淺的,
考得四五十名,可能都派得幾好,
如主恩,得130人左右,
好多年前,我朋友的兒子在一間佢區內次選的小學讀,
無咁深,考得幾好,中學可以派去男拔,
如果佢當時讀佢果區首選的小學,
未必會考得咁好,係咪??

總之要睇小朋友的情況而選校,
我見好多考得唔好的小朋友,佢地屋企無人教佢,
又無錢請人教,咁考得好差,如果讀間淺的,
可能唔係咁情況呢~!
我是全職媽媽,女女是會自己做功課同溫書,
其實每日都係四五樣功課,唔多的

如選中校隊,會比好少錢就可以受訓
