宣小的功課唔多，假期基本上無功課。學校給與的功課和操練都不多，要靠小孩自己溫習，跟上學習進度。

學生一般都有很多課外活動，再加上樂器練習、樂團活動、和溫習，要有心裡準備用不少時間。雖然很忙，但孩子都樂於參與這些課外活動。就算家長希望孩子花多些時間在學習上，孩子都不願放棄這些課外活動。

高年級要學習自己備課，如查字典，預讀，找重點；高年級又有課後補課，補課的內容是學辯論、英數和英語話劇。因此孩子忙碌的學習生活和課外活動可能錯誤地給其他學校的家長和親友很多功課的感覺。

Thank you very much for yr useful information. I hv heard that APS has many tests, exams, seen/unseen dictations...etc in addition to extracurricular activities. As a working parents, we afraid can't handle all these and spare enough time to teach our kid.    Can you share some of your experiences to us? Thanks.

一年有兩個學期。
中英文，每學期有一次測驗，一次考試，5次默書。
數學每學期有5次測驗，一次考試。
音樂、體育、聖經、常識、科學和普通話只有一次考試，無測驗。
視覺藝術無測驗，無考試，但平日的作品都要計分。
生活教育、資訊科技、圖書課無測考，唔計分，但對孩子的能力、性格和價值觀的培育也十分重要。

父母的支援和配合是很重要的。我和太太都有自己工作，但盡量都抽時間陪子女。自己能力不足，甚至不懂的科目，例如樂器、普通話和英文，我們都有請導師和補習老師，每星期教半小時至個半小時。

Is any assitance or support to be provded by school to P.1 students? Those teachers are kind or not? Its style has a very big difference from kindergarden life, kids are not easy to adopt their new life in the 1st year. e.g. 30 mins lunch, long school hours, many different subjects/classes a day ...

緊係宣道 因為係九龍塘校網, 而禮賢係深水埗區,

If compare with 宣道 vs 循道, which one you will pick?
循道 has a Secondary school as a backup and free for 6 years. Also the younger sister will get 10 marks when applying primary school after 4 years.
However, 宣道 has a good reputation, teachers are nice, good acdemic result,...?

It is very hard to make the decision between these 2 schools.

Can you give some comments?

宣道程度深,注重音樂,over98%升上九龍城英中;禮賢讀得開心,老師很關心學生,德育好,over 70%升上深水埗英中。

I made the same decision to pick MS and withdraw APS.

Can you share your option why you gave up APS such good school.

BTW, is yr child also assigned to MS PM class?? We might meet on 1st of Sept then.

Yes. APS is good school and MS is also a good school too. But APS need school fees and other charges.Over 40 students in one class in APS and no secondary school support. The most important reason is MS which is good for my youngest son too. My daughter will study in AM class in MS

Agree! both 2 are good schools. The decision I made is also concerned for the advantages to my youngest daugther.
