I heard DPS not the same as before but LAI CHI KOK Catholic is a school with good teachers and good results.

Is DPS still very good now? Because I heard from friends that their results are dropping. Lai Chi Kok is the school with rising academic results. Please comment urgently

DPS係英小，得兩班，男仔有人話每年DBS給10個位升中學(約10/40=25%升男拔)。今年四年級女仔就睇師兄在中學的分班試，應該會唔錯掛(因DPS或九龍塘區小學家長都多是中產和有要求)。
你子女係插班入(幾年級)定小一派入，可否講講有關情況？參考參考！
荔天則認識不多，但中學網較差。

Thanks for the reply. My kid has an offer from Lai Chi Kok Catholic Primary School for P1. I met the teachers and principal. They are very good and the P6 results are very good(can check from website) Some even went to St.Paul ,St Mary and so on. I can see it is an upcoming school. But, I cannot find P6 results from DPS website. Friends told me DPS not as good after split from DBS. How is the teaching environment there? Are the students expect to know everything before entering the class? Do the teachers only care about the results? I know little about DPS , please help.

Even the lowest grade students in DPS can be number one in Lai Chi Kok, that's the big difference between the top and bottom schools.

grade都應該唔同，Lai Chi Kok未聽過，論英文教學程度，相信DPS高唔少。

今年有去男拔中學既說明會, 張校長親口說今年要收DPS學生, 位係少左, 你出年來就有多60個位, 聴他這樣說可以理解男拔中學好像已同DPS再沒有關係O甘!
不過DPS係英小, 又係九龍城區, 畢業後,入番間好D中學都唔難.

我都係住係校網40內, 知道荔天係唔錯, 是區內大熱之選, 但係地區性名校和全港性的名校係唔同, 兩間學校我相信一樣有人入到band one英中, 但係最大分別係同學的背景和質素.  

我同意上面所講, DPS位於九龍塘區, 家長多數係中產和有要求的, 對家庭教育特別重視, 學生背景這一點真係同荔天無得比.  此外, 荔天的中學校網在深水步區, 雖然一樣可以去到英中, 但我相信同樣是英中, banding和名氣是可以有很大的差別.

如拿LS、LPS跟荔天比較是不公平的，因為學校的層次不同。

我也是校網40，上年選校，荔天不單是區內熱門，更是我的首選！小兒現讀於該校P1。荔天給我的感覺是校長對很多事情都有要求，也著意不斷提升學校，功課量也適中和不太淺。程度較之同區我看也屬較前列的。

對於很多40區的家長來說，其實荔天已經是很好的學校，雖然沒有一條龍，但祇要好成績，將來還是能派很好的中學，反之，不能直上要再找中學的時候可能更手忙腳亂。但個人來看，著重家庭教育和對子女有相當期望／要求的並不是住在九龍塘區或中產的專利，所以有心的父母不用太在意自己的子女是否一定在名校就讀，因為在普通小學取得頭數名不單比名校包尾要強，還有機會插入心儀的名校！

因為在普通小學取得頭數名不單比名校包尾要強，還有機會插入心儀的名校！

升中校網只有九龍城網,包括了九龍塘, 何文田, 土瓜灣, 九龍城, 紅磡.

Are you sure Lai Chi Kok Primary School is the bottom school? Maybe you know the very famous traditional school only.  Please update your information about  the school and choose it carefully. My daughter is in Primary 1 and a lot of homework everyday. And she can communicate with the maid in English fluently.

你個女可以同maid講流利英語，好似同學校冇乜關系，相信佢未入學前都講到。
