小兒在這個星期六面試, 請問是否有家長於上星期六已面試, 可否分享一下, 是否要家長一同面試架,

some info available from DBS web :

1.        2005年度的小一共有5班，每班30人。
2.        每位考生將獲邀請參加第一次面試，校方將挑選300人參加第二次面試。
3.        家長不用會見校長。
4.        考生只需參加面試，並無其他能力測試。(包括體育及音樂)
5.        考生面試時可選擇用中文或英文作答。
6.        本校小六學生的整體表現如合乎本校的要求，可以直接升讀本校的中學。
7.        計分制度:
a. 面試表現 50%     
b. 課外活動 20%
c. 學業成績 20%
d. 其他     10%  ( 包括父親及兄長是舊生、兄長就讀本校中、小學或為聖公會教友。)

how about 插班 p2 or p3

Interview will only have 2 secession on 30/Oct or 6/Nov. My son will interview on 6/Nov, 11:00-12:00, how about yours ?

如果想考P.3 & P.4 插班(明年各有一班/30人), 可以留意明年四月學校所發出之通告, 而P.3 & P.4的插班生, 跟P.1新生的計分方法是差不多, 但由面試改為筆試, 計分比例一樣, 不過如果你小朋友有什麼強項 (如游泳 , 音樂....等等), 可能學校會要求你小朋友表演或做體能測試.

hi, according to my son told me, he said he play lego's and read a story book, and  the teacher only ask him what is his name and how old and what is the function of cup also need him draw a circle behind the circle , no tell story and sing a song , and also ask where he live ?hope the info can help you

   Thank you for your help.  How long is the interview, did the kids interviewed by the prinicple or teacher?   Is most of the kids acommpanied by BOTH his father and mother?

I had interview with my son last Sat. According to his description, the interview is quite easy. Around 10-12kids will be leaded by a teacher to the classroom. They will go into 1 of the room and they will be asked to draw a picture. They can draw what they like to draw, this is just for killing times when they are waiting for an individual interview by the teacher. I think the interview is conducted in another classroom cos my son said when 1 of them has go out, they play in the classroom. The teacher ask him where he live, how did he spend the weekend and give him a picture to see and ask him to tell something about the picture.
One thing has to remind all of you for the coming interview-be puntual. Pls go to report to the counter according to the time listed in your letter, I saw some of the parents went there 15mins later than the time but still 15mins earlier than the actual interview time but has to rush with the kid because the teacher has already take the kids up to the classroom. This will make the kid become nervous. When your kid has go up to the classroom, the school will ask you to come to pick up your kid 1hr later. Don't trust him, your kid will come down 30-45mins, I saw some of the kid can't find their parents and had to wait in the waiting area.

有一問題想請教已去了新小拔面試的家長, 因我husband是在內地工作的,是否有需要專程回來帶仔仔去面？(如仔仔已由我陪同的話)。可否回覆,使我先生能早作安排。Thanks！

The parents are not allowed to attend the inteview. In other words, your husband need not come back to accompany your kid.

Last week I saw some kids were in fact only accompanied by their maids. The only thing is to complete the registration by presenting the interview letter and the birth certificate. That's all. The kids would then queue up and walked to the rooms by themselves.
