我上星期在商務買了一本字典, 職員話好arm小學生用, 名字就叫小學字典, 價錢大概80元!

I bought this rencently from 商務 too.
有用之處: 有筆順，粵音，普通話音。

我以前小學及中學時用Longmans.
中學那本全名是The Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English (low priced edition)

This is not just english english dictionary, click translation, then you can have english to other language such as simp. chinese or trad chinese.

Yes, English translation to Chinese, French or Japanese and vice versa. Works OK for simple translation.

Even Thesaurus too!

Frankly I no longer keep any physical dictionary at home these days

我有本英文字典 "Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English", 但係唔係小學生用。我諗緊好唔好買d有彩色圖畫嘅英文字典，但篇幅有限，怕啱程度嘅英文生字唔夠多。定係索性買本無咁 colourful 和字體大d嘅，等佢用到小六？又唔知 d 小學有無規定買邊本？ Oxford 定 Longman 好 d ？

I found the recommended 小學字典 is good and I bought it today.

朗媽,
For English dictionary, you need to tell how old is your child in order for other parents to give recommendation.

I found those suitable for P1 - P2 should be different for those P3 or above...

Look forward to hear further recommendations.
