大家知唔知道一班將會多少人呢?

I think it depends on how many students withdraw at the end.   Last year there were 45 students in 2 classes (according to the website below).

10.45 here; I was told that there will have School Introductioon session on the same day, anyone aware about this?

Yes, the vice-principal said that we should arrive 15 minutes before, i.e. 8:45 a.m.

各位, 你們為何會選這間學校呢? 小班? 英文小學? 大家覺得校風"純樸" 嗎? 我選既原因係區內英小只有這間及聖保羅男校, 加上後者囝囝巳被rejected了 , 所以我希望他能在小學階段英文基礎打穩d, 到中學時期就輕鬆d, 但這間學校身邊朋友評語有好有壞, 真的令我不知如何是好, 大家有同意嗎? 請分享吧 !

I got the same concern too. I like this school is because the small size of the class and it's an English PS. However I wonder if the Secondary School is good enough. Are u all decided to get in or just treat as a back up and wait for the Lucky Draw?

It looks that most of the comments I received so far are neutral to positive, i.e. they were very famous in the earlier times but looks now are not as competitive as to the other top ones; secondary school was even deteriorting to may be band 2+ (or marginally band 1-); i guess primary school should be a bit better than secondary from my own guess...

and small class and english are the main attractions....

After the first lesson, my twins told me they likes the school and the lesson seemed quite OK.

agreed! 所以如果囝囝小六成績好可以去其它band1學校, 如果差的直升中學也有一個保障; 我諗這間學校是夾在好及差的中間, 所以大多數家長暫時只會作買一個保障, 等待所有結果時才作決定, 或者係因為我們可以等到5月註冊的原故吧.....

星期六囝囝都話ok, 他說16人一班, 對嗎? 有沒有人知道每段時間開幾多班呢? 大家估下今次派出幾多封取錄信呢?

4 classes at 9:00am. the vice-principle said that. two classes start English lesson first and are taught by NET teachers and then take turn. but i don't know how many classes at 10:30 am.

好開心見到咁多新人入黎交流，記得上年 li 個時候我都o係到post 過但回覆唔太多，今年咁多人入黎個人感覺學校已經做到某些成績多咗人留意聖類斯。
"導向課程"對小朋友適應小一真係好有幫助o架

Trust they open 8 classes, 4 for 9 and 4 for 10:30, each 20; that means they offered around 160 seats; with 45 seats available that means 70% drop out expect by the school  - honestly i have a very good impression with this school, even compared to those 'bigger' names, don't un why drop out rate that high......

As a old boy of St. Louis (both primary and secondary school), I hope I can share some experiences to those of you who are planning to attend.

Most of the comments I hear from here sounds valid.  The academic level of the secondary school is not as competitive as in the old days.  But if you would like your son to be brought up as a humble, down to earth, and sincere gentlemen, this is a school to recommend.  Besides, the freedom we enjoy in the secondary school can be hardly find among Hong Kong, especially on the trust from the teachers to organize various extra-curricular activities by the students themselves.  This is a valuable opportunity for the students to build up their inter-communication skills.

Back to the primary school, I would say comparatively the academic support is better in primary to secondary.  In the past, the primary school is able to attract quality students and after the education they received in the primary forms, they are able to study with their own styles in secondary forms.  However, the competition has become severe since birth rate is low in HK.

One last comment, in the old days, everyone from primary will choose to continue to stay because it is such a good school to leave behind!  A classmate of mine who eventually got 9A in HKCEE also stayed and got such good result in secondary section.  Of course, this is really long time ago!

Does you son love this school?

My son just so-so.  He said the classroom is old and the Mandarin teacher is quite "惡" if you cannot give the right answer.  It's seems that he does not enjoy the lessons.  We will wait and see.

However, I heard a kid replied to her mother: "very happy".
