if your son always speaks in English and only know a little Cantonese, u should choose 高主教. Otherwise, you may choose Wah Yan because the secondary school is better and boys are well behaved(above P3) & polite & happy. Their parents are also humble, helpful and nice. Though the academic level is not very high especially English, it is enough to make boys try to study hard but not too stressful. I am interested what '教堂主日學有部份家長同我老公華仁的舊老師都給與了現時華仁的意見' you said? Would you tell us?
Strongly agreed to jackjackma. My son is studying in P1 in Raimondi now and I never consider applying WY though I am a catholic when we choose Primary school last year. It's because of the English standard in Raimondi and they use Mandarin to teach Chinese Lang. If your son able to stand in top 20, he will go to Kings or St Joe or even Wan Yan. I can say that those bright student are not aim at Raimondi Secondary but just treat it as a back up.
From my observation this year, the boys in Raimondi are quite smart. My son's english also improved a lot because they have some maths exercise in english and 3 text books out of 4 for General Studies are in English.
All you need to consider is whether you son likes / loves English, because they need to learn English prayer and many other topics in English.
My kid is also in Raimondi. My problem is that there might be too much focus on English. And before P1, he studied in a non-traditional kindergarten which doesn't place much emphasis to write a lot. My son resists to read Chinese books now but he likes reading English books a lot (there are reading classes every day, and he only brings English books to school and he told me that all his classmates only bring English books to school). Seems that the teachers do not push the kids to read Chinese books. I have to push him to do quite some Chinese comprehension exercises at home in order to let him learn more vocab. I actually come across some difficult moments in helping his Chinese...
