Which one is better for a 4 years old boy?   Thanks for your sharing.

Alison's Letterland:
My 3 years old daughter is attending since 2 years old. She lover letterland very much. And I really like their class size is 1 teacher to 8 students. Teacher give very good care to each kids.  Relationship between parents and teacher are very close.

For Starter:
I never visit the school. No comment

Small World:
I went for a informal interview with my daughter on September 07. My daughter doesn't really like the school, but she's unable to tell the reason. I found the school is too far and inconveient. Class size is 2 teachers for 20 students. Most of teachers are asian. The advantage is that the principal is able to write a reference letter for your kid if you are going to apply ESF. Most of their graduates are going to ESF or other international school

But the envoronment seems not very good.  Starter even better than that.

Alison's Letterland is in HK Island

(2) Do they have nursery class at age of 2?

They have one called baby buddies which is from 6mths to 2, for class with parents together. Another one is child care center, for 2 to 6 without parents

yea, the environment is a bit small compare to other kinder

My boy goes to Small World at present.  I agree that its location is not convenient for public transport and the premise looks a bit old.  But what I have to say is that the teachers and the principal are all wonderful and caring.  We are 100% sure that our boy is in good hands and he really enjoys his time with Small World.

is it hard to accepted by them or not? as u said the student ratio is 1:8, we are local people, will they put the western as priority? Thx a lot.

Do you live in HK or KLN side ??  I am interested in small world but since I live in KLN side and the school bus service covers only HK side, so, I have to give up.  So, do you know any parents in small world living in KLN side ???  How do they arrange their transportation ? tks !

I don't think the school bus service of Small World can cover the KLN side.  As far as I know, most (if not all!) students live in HK side.

Well, I didn't really apply for it, I went to trial class on Dec 06 (you can call them for free trial class), and I told Alison that I want to put my gal to school on Jan just after she turns to two. They told me that no space for morning classat the beginning. But after three weeks, they had student left. So they can put my gal in.

At first I thought I'll only put my girl in Alison until Sept 07, then changed to other. But at the end I changed my mind and gonna to let her stay in Alison until primary.

No, they don't have school bus to KLN. I still have my acceptance letter from Small World with me. They have 5 area school bus: 1 Peak to school, 2 South Horizons to school, 3 South Bay Rd to school, 4 Jardine's Lookout to school and 5 Kornhill to school. This is for morning session, afternoon session will provide less area.

It charge $4090 school fees and $120 uniform, $25 folder.  

Since I live in Chai Wan, there is no school bus, so I'm going to reject their acceptancy offer.

It seems the school is great.. so now my girl almost 14 months, is it time to apply it? u know, local nursery interviewing already..i'm interested in this school and it's near my home, i don't wanna my girl travel around hardly..THANKS again.

Well, they don't really have a time for application, so you can apply anytime you want, as long as they have space, they'll call you. Go for a trial class, and talk to alison or teacher.
