如有大學學位但是想從事 heath care

朋友個仔之前成績都唔錯中三嘅時候去咗外國讀書 而家大學畢業喇佢想返嚟香港從事 醫療嘅專業

_聽其他朋友講大部分都要一啲專業嘅資格 但係佢又冇喎究竟有冇一啲咩課程係畀佢哋已經有大學學位嘅人

物理治療師從英美澳加認可大學物理治療系畢業並取得當地專業執照，暫時仍可免試直接在港註冊。

香港理工大學有兩年制物理治療碩士學位，供相關學科如Sciences, Kinesiology, Physical Education 學位畢業生報讀，畢業後可在港成為物理治療師，聽聞競爭非常激烈，今年收生全部本身已有碩士甚至博士學位（只有學士學位可以申請但機會不大），並已完成修讀anatomy, physiology 等基本學科。

請問樓主朋友兒子有否相關學歷？

Are you sure no chance for undergraduate ?


My friend's daughter is fresh undergraduate from HKU in Biology, straight to master of PT in PolyU in 2016, no need to have master or doctor degree.

I see.

They should set the quota for different entry standings.

If students got support for postgraduate education and apply for another postgraduate degree again. I will down play their chances in application, provide the chance to others instead of let them have another postgraduate degree.

That's my personal opinions.

Then does it mean going abroad is not a wise decision if at the end she wants to work in processional field ?

考慮如想医生/物理冶療可用非聯招報。。。工作方面可考慮science sales/medical  sales。。。

You said 你朋友個仔 in the original post.

He/she should have stayed at UT and have a professional healthcare degree like pharmacy/ nursing/ physical therapy etc. if he/she wants to be in the healthcare field.

How can one be a professional healthcare practitioner without a proper degree now?

點解只收碩士博士資歷學生，有分析原因嗎？易 d 教，省招牌？

直覺覺得已經有越高學歷越不適合服務行業，可能流失率越高！

我識一些PolyU PT學士畢業生，他們不習慣服務病人，最後是走商界，都頗成功！他們走去銷售復康或醫療設備，部分自己做老闆及MNC高層。

如果有Science degree, 可以考慮讀理大醫療化驗科學碩士，畢業後可以去醫院或者化驗所工作

我都識哦，有做醫療器材，有國內健身連鎖集團老闆，莫非我們有相同的朋友？

物理治療師好多係clinician，唔係好鍾意做research 寫paper, 所以搵啲已有master's degree 或PhD 啲人做research，提升professional status.

其實好多外國大學School of Physiotherapy 都有相同情況，好似澳洲Melbourne Uni Physiotherapy, 無哂bachelor/master, 只有Doctor of Physiotherapy 六年course (可以完成三年Science degree 後轉入），其實主要係train researcher/academic 多過clinician.

我都寫得幾白，我估大家可能有些共同朋友。你識那個欏日內瓦發明奬那位？

我正正講咗搵 Master and PhD 學生，出發點有些問題，因為香港缺乏落手落腳的輔助醫療人員，不缺 research的人，大學省招牌，但都要明白開這個課程的真正目的，出 paper 定訓練專業人才！

如果我是 Industry Advisory Committee member 或者PT專業認證審核, 我會質疑 program director 的目的。

Professional Health care = Doctors and Nurses. Actually, there are Allied Health such as, Pharm, Speech Therapist, Physio-therapist, Occupational therapist, dietitian etc.
Then, there are administrator stream too.

Even in Professional Health Care, there are HCA, nurses, phlebotomist etc.  There are also lab technicians,  pathologists, mortuary officers etc.. ...
