HKU Medical Summer Broadening Programme 2016

等了很久，還沒有通知，請問有無有家長收到通知？得唔得其實沒有所謂，但申請了很久都沒有消息，電郵回覆只是叫你等，HKU的行政令我失望。

My daughter applied too...but still under consideration. Sent email to HKU SI last Friday, not response.  Poor service.

But, my daughter got the offer from CUHK SI long time ago and everything settled.

My daughter applied too - never heard from them and when I called to ask, staff just told us that to wait for their reply. To be honest I got application results very quickly from other faculties, and also from CUHK - my gut feeling is that they feel they have too many applications anyway that they don't need to respect our application. Anyway, because I have to confirm the summer plans of my daughter I probably cannot wait for their reply. Good luck to you all.
HKU Medicine surely has very poor administrative management.

I completely agree HKU medicine faculty does not respect our application and take our summer plan into consideration! The programme has been run for many years and is very popular with a large number of applicants. I don't understand why the result is so late this year. If it is very late, applicants should be informed.

In my previous posts, I mentioned that no respect to students is one of their blind spots.

Completely agree ! No communication and no accountability as well. I keep my guts not to find "back door".

不一定。但是被選取的條件不清楚，除了校長信外。怎樣公平地進行選取，希望有多些資料參考。如果不是，就引人很多推測。如像選副校長的事還沒忘記，可以知道等待是對大學一大打擊。

兩年前HkU Medlc咪落過區，講話收多些基層學生讀醫，27%減到25%。院長個個星期專欄講教育理念，理論！一定是你地搞錯


我建議院長分兩條龍，一條自己友，另一條俾幾個基層學生，後者自然要開記者招待會，大鑼大鼓宣傳！

這是自古以來崇高的教育理念，收生不是收分數，希望HKU做得到  當然只是說笑吧！

HKU showed "I care no more!!" metality.  CU is humble and does lots to catch up, including research, student recruitment, etc.  I trust it won't be long that both medic schools will be on par.  HKU surely needs a great deal effort to maintain its edge, seemingly not much though.

Thanks for your information. Actually it is not a big deal to have the programme. But it is annoying to see how badly the service for applicants is provided. It is definitely a shame for HKU!

My information  is that the result is based on rolling base. But after submitting application, deadline was extended. I was just asked to wait. It is completely non-sense to wait for a few months. The programme is so-called popular and places are filled up quickly without selection criteria. It is so easy to let the applicants to know their application status. The programme is not free and I would like to have much better service!
