G10 science double or triple?

收到學校email 9月升G10 confirm subjects, science is double, 想問下大家是否大部份學校都只會教double science? Or triple science? 是否triple science對將來選大學或出路會好D? Tks!

Double & Triple 亦要讀3科，double 就計其中最好兩科，如果學生理科好弱或有目標入U不關science科目，double 便沒有所謂。如果未定入U方向，science 有機取到合格以上，triple 就穩陣些。我見多數學校是triple。

我也問過呀仔，佢話將來醫生或葯劑都無可能，因為要很好的成續，現時他較有興趣會計，精算及經濟方面，咁讀double science是否不會有影响呢？但我不確定過幾年佢會唔會有其它方向而後悔無讀triple science呢？Double science是否只讀physics及chemistry? Tks!

我之前都問過呢個問題，因呀女學校同樣要揀呢2個options，我亦周圍問過人，有位好心家長用Whatapps 轉載另一位家長解釋什麼是core science, double science and triple science, 頗詳細，但我不懂如何post 係呢度。如有興趣，你可pm 我你的contact， 我可forward 給你！叧我女最後揀左triple science, 因她日後a level 選科，較大機會揀science subjects.

但我仔間學校只分配他double science, 好似無得選triple science, 我星期二找再升學agent幫我問清楚學校，另我pl email address麻煩你比有關double/triple sciences資料我，因我唔知有乜影响or分別？Tks!

double 係考phy, chem, bio 都只係得2個grade, 係俾 science 唔係 excellent 學生考既, 而triple  就係phy chem bio 各自有各既grade, 而考既paper 亦會比double science 多.

亞細是double sci ，容易gcse考A 及A*，上年考入Y12的 Queen Ethelburgas ...

我女學校，全校 Y10 都係讀 phy, chem , Bio.  學校話如果發覺成績真係追唔上， Y11會勸學生 drop 一科 science。

問亞細佢聽高年生講，double sci真很容易取高分，如三科考3個A*，咁有冇S0

我而家係year11, 做緊gcse exams:)
其實double science嘅意思係phy chem bio都要讀兩個，每科會有兩個exams, 加埋就有6個 (phy:2 chem:2 bio:2)
而triple science 要讀double science 嗰兩個units再加多一個extra unit, 所以就會俾double science 做多3個exams
triple 個extra unit, 亦即係unit 3, 其實係連接A-Level year12嘅課程, 所以上到year12嘅時候就會冇咁辛苦
多數選擇triple science, 都一定要肯定自己係會讀得倒, 或者A-level 嘅時候想揀 2-3科science (如果alevel想讀晒phy chem bio, 必須要讀triple science)
我係讀triple science嘅, 一定就辛苦過讀double嘅人, 因為人地已經溫完science, triple 嘅人仲要溫埋unit 3😂... 不過，的確讀完unit3之後，係會對unit2考試有幫助，因為其實unit3係解釋緊unit2嘅野
要留意嘅係, uk教育局轉左制, 你個女個year係第一年轉制。
我地以前係year 10考unit 1 (3 exams in total), year 11考unit 2+3 (6 exams in total) with other subjects u take
但係新制係 year 11考 unit 1,2,3 (9 exams at the same time) with all other subjects
所以你個女要考慮下自己承唔承受倒個壓力，不過我俾我細妹嘅意見係 (佢都升year10), 讀住triple 先, 考完mock真係覺得讀唔倒triple, 都仲有得轉double:) 同埋要提早溫書，我學校year9已經教緊unit 1

Does this apply to iGCSE or just GCSE ?  I think it only affect GCSE for the time being.
For GCSE changes in Sci subjects, should only affect those studying Y9 in this Sep.  For those going to study Y10 in this September, the subjects that will be changed should be Eng, Eng Lit and Math only.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

其實讀double science或triple science係自己選擇還是學校決定？以我所知兩樣都要讀晒３科，只係讀少Ｄ同多Ｄ units

係學校email通知我，話九月Y10開好分配給我仔的 subjects: GP, EAL, Home Language, Maths, Science(double), Additional EAL, Computer Studies, Business Studies, Geography, 算少科嗎？

double science 計2科，即你仔一共take 10 科，如阿仔take 埋chinese, then 一共11科， Ok 喎！
我女学校recommend 學生take 9 科only, 能力高才take 多1-2科！
