不少用德文教學、如果德.文是非常流利和寫得、是你選學校、不然便是睇餸食飯了。

C1? Do you mean the levels by which Goethe Institute to categorize students proficiency?

it is a general  measurement system in Europe for European language, a diploma will be granted. it's called Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

yes should be the same as the one from Goethe institute.

My son went to the summer camp of Goethe two years ago and had obtained A2 level. He is taking iGCSE German this May,  which should be equivalent to B1 level.  His teacher said by Year 13, he would be achieving C1 level.

wow,congratulations! If he is really ready, there is no boundary then . why not ask the school consultants or Goethe teachers. They must have accurate information and give advice.  When I see some German friends around, I may also ask them. Good luck.

thank you very much Annie40. yes they have counsellor at school to give advice, but actually he is only Year9 now so it's a bit early to ask.  in fact we are choosing between sending him to UK for Year12/13 and university or stay in GSIS till Year 13 and send him to Germany for university. Since he is good at and interested in Math and Science, plus on the track of achieving the language requirement,  it seems to me that Germany is quite an ideal choice.  If so,  I might pave way for him by sending him for more trips,  exchange program and summer camps to Germany.

Try this http://www.topuniversities.com/subject-rankings - there are a few Germany Uni are in the World's Top 50 in the subjects you've mentioned.

Alternatively, join this group on facebook, 香港人在歐洲(Hong Kongers in Europe) - there are many HKners living in Germany, some of them still at Uni.

How was their summer camp? my son is interested to join. He has studied German in school for 2 years and it is his favourite subject.

• 弗莱堡大学：2007年入选（首轮第二批入选），2012年（第二轮）被淘汰。
• 哥廷根大学：2007年入选（首轮第二批入选），2012年（第二轮）被淘汰。
• 海德堡大学：2007年入选（首轮第二批入选）
• 康斯坦茨大学：2007年入选（首轮第二批入选）
• 柏林洪堡大学: 2012年入选（第二轮入选）
• 图宾根大学: 2012年入选（第二轮入选）
• 德累斯顿工业大学: 2012年入选（第二轮入选）

那以上名单中涉及XX工业大学的， 在理工科上都非常强。但要看具体哪一科目，比如机械制造，毫无悬念亚琛工业大学和慕尼黑工业大学占第一，二位。

ps. 我在以上当中的一所XX工业大学读过，不如你说你目标是哪一个科系，我或许可以给些意见。

如果对自己有信心，我建议慕尼黑工业大学。最主要考虑到后续如果想在德国工作，慕尼黑乃至整个拜仁州会是首选，但就是大学淘汰率比较高。

我自己讀書的時間，也參觀過一些德國大學，印象很不錯，我很喜歡。但是，德國的學士學位都用德語教學（我是學工程的）。

知點解，叫 UoM 的 MBS 都系好學校：
澳洲有 University of Melbourne 的 Melbourne Business School.
英國有 University of Manchester 的 Manchester Business School.
德國有 University of Mannheim 的 Mannheim Business School.

我在网页搜了Mannheim business School的信息， University of Mannheim是一所公立大学，政府资助，免学费，而Mannheim business School是要交学费的，而且不便宜。但总的来说，就算是交了学费，还是比英国便宜的。
有个现象，和公立大学合办的一些私立大学，或许要确认以后学位证书是写哪个大学。还有就是如果是收学费的学校，就是1-2万欧起跳的大学，或许你的同班同学有98%是来自中国大陆，要确认学校的国际学生比列。

想要沒有(或很少)中國大陸的學生，可以去 Universität Passau，大學沿河建設，景好優美。

Hi Ruby,

Can you share information about summer camp in Germany?  My son is now 11 years old and has a great interest in technology.  We travel to Germany for holiday every summer and so he loves the country.  We are thinking that he may like to study in a university there.  

He does not know German but speaks very good English.  Do you have any idea how I start to prepare him for that?

有个建议，你可以跟大学所在地的华人教会联系，教会里相当大部分都是来自当地大学的在读留学生或己经毕业的，你可以拿到第一手资料。我当时所处教会的同学们是非常乐意解答非注册正式学生有关课程设置的问题。
