I think strawberry11's data are for 2009-2011. I'm only on the waitlist of TSL, but it expired already. I'm considering if I should re-apply again this Jun., as this school is pretty far for me. ilj mentioned that only the very top students can go to the very top secondary schools. But is it easy to get to the top in TSL, as the students selected are very smart? I'm thinking I should choose a local good school by central allocation. That school places the top students to 1st-tier schools like St. Paul's Co-ed. College, DBS, La Salle as well (though very limited no.). I guess it's easier to get to the top in a local gov't school.

Hi all Mom: Many Thanks for your advices.Base on "strawberry11" information, only the a small amount of top students are able to get into the top schools (DGS. Good Hope...etc). Of course, 6 years later is another story.
I did ask the Sr. teacher during the second interview about on whether they have any plan to link or even expand to have a secondary school, she responsed that this is always one for their plan, but she did not answer me directly on whether it will be materialized in the near future.
PS: Any mom can share some information from both school, such as Homework Loading, school life and happiness of your child. your information is greatly appreciated.
I quote some of the data on the last page of the green covered prospectus that I got during the 1st interview (9/10/11) :

Actually, I just quoted some of them for reference. I don't know much about PLK Ngan Po Ling College. All I know it's related to PLK. But if you live near TSL, it's a good school for you w/economical fees. I'm still thinking about it, but it's too far for me.
Hi: So far what i have heard from st clare's is good. Can you please give me a bit more information on which area or why their secondary school is so so? thx!
I see. Thanks for your information. But the question is I only have 2 choices between TSL vs St Clare's for primary school. If I choose St Clare;s and if my kid can achieve good results in the next 6 years, I still have St Clare's secondry school as a backup and still can apply for the good secondary school in the same district "中西區". My husband and I really like TSL and is cheaper too, but no secondary gets us worry!.
Hi 哈比: Yes, this is exactly what I think as well after hear all information and advices from different people. Seriously, Childern competing on positions for secondary school are already very tuff these days and imagine what will happen in another 6 years. Just comparing this year vs 2-3 years ago on primary school places are two different stories and will get more and more tuff on the upcoming years. feel sorry for the kid these days.
