i tried it last week and i think it is worth to try because:
- 朱姑娘 (臨床心理學家‧言語治療師) can not only give you a assessment report but also she can provide you a direction and strategies on how to handle your kid situation (select school and training direction)
- STEP can help you to directly submit application to Social Welfare Department (no need to wait CAC for over half year for further assessment because Social welfare dept will accept STEP accessment for "E", "I", "S" seat application), you know, for "A" kid, timing is REALLY important
- 1 more point, as a father/mother, i think nobody (even the assessor) will be better than you to realise whether your kid has problem or not, right? because assessor only meet your kid for 1 or 3 hours, but you (as a parent) will face your kid 7 x 24 hours (so i think you must realise that your kid has some problem before you decide to take him for assessment, right?), but i know as a parent, nobody want to admit that his/her own kid is a "A".....right....but if your kid really has problem of "A", the faster to provide treatment/training to him, the faster he could improve and easier to study main stream school in the future, that is why i think you should try, unless you are surely believe that your kid MUST not be a "A" kid |
