My friend's son, 13 years old; he would like to go for boarding school in the UK; Year 9 next year.
The agent has given him four choices:
Shrewbury school
Lancing College
Warwick
Epsom College
Which one is suitable for a boy who recieves local education in HK.
How are these school boarding system? Which one is better? How are the students' behaviour in those schools? Also, how about the teachers' quality in those schools?
If anyone knows anything about the schools, please share with us.
I would say Warwick is a very good school because :
1. Not far away from Heathrow - less than 2hrs by coach.
2. School free is a bit cheaper than other schools at the South.
3. The Principal, Mr Halse, is very nice. He remebers every student he interviewed before. The academic performance of the school improves quite a lot after he became the principal of the school, and is still improving every year.
4. The campus is huge and students can enjoy a variety of sports here.
5. The curriculum support system is good there. To help foreign students adapting to the UK education system, they provide curriculum to new HK students. The teachers meet students once or twice a week to improve their English. Teachers such as Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Hawley are very kind and helpful.
