阿囝今年13歲(7/2010)，讀緊中二，原本想佢讀完中三先，而家開始爬文至發覺銜接嘅歲數好似唔上唔落，如果下年14歲去讀year 10係咪趕唔切？定等多年先報year 10 (因見見到話year 11唔收生)。另，唔知由邊度開始著手好，咁趕係咪搵agent安排會好啲？大家可否畀啲意見(努力爬文中)，先謝！

咁我都唔係好清楚，我就係招生會見完阿囡，之後第二日就in阿囡音樂，過咗一個月就話等阿囡完成筆試，就會通知收唔收，如果收阿囡就可以讀specialist musicians，因為阿囡諗住去都係讀音樂

我只係報咗Wells,我同agent傾比阿囡聖誕假完先筆試，10月招生會去咗，面咗試，學校覆咗阿囡如果筆試過咗就可以入Specialist Musicians,阿囡努力緊溫習

是咁的，之前搵agent報咗Wells Cathedral School (WCS)同 Oakham school ，自己就報咗King’s School Canterbury (KSC)。
前兩間都安排咗聖誕前考試同面試，
KSC要1月先考試，如果有機會面試，又，假設有offer，都已經係1月尾2月頭嘅事。
假設WCS 同Oakham都出offer，係咪都唔使點諗KSC (因為我估前兩間會好快要俾deposit)。
如果真係等唔到KSC，係咪揀WCS會好啲呢？
唔好意思，雖然係未知之數，都想問問大家意見，謝謝。

Entry into Stonyhurst College at 14+ (Grammar) from other schools is based upon interview (via video or telephone call, if international), school reports, completion of a handwritten 500 word personal statement and a satisfactory performance in the online entrance assessment. We also require a reference from the child’s current school. Some international pupils may be required to sit the Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT).  UK boarders will also be required to complete an overnight trial board if becoming a boarder.

We welcome enquiries for pupils to join us into Year 10 (A Block). The configuration of the House system at Repton, does mean that these spaces can be limited, so registering early is advisable. 

As soon as you have decided that you would like to proceed with an application to Repton, you will need to complete the registration form along with a copy of your child’s passport and a £100 registration fee. 

Candidates will then sit an online CAT4 test. Examinations are usually held in November in the Michaelmas Term prior to entry, although enquiries are welcome throughout the year.

In addition to the examinations, candidates would also be invited for an interview with the Deputy Head Admissions, as well as supply a satisfactory reference from their current school . 

Please be aware that Scholarships are not available at 14+ entry.

Whilst the Fourth Form (Year 10) is not a normal entry point, every year we do offer a small number of Fourth Form places. As the number of places available is directly proportional to the size of the previous Third Form intake, the number of places available cannot be confirmed until the first week of November (end of half term) of the year prior to entry.  

The steps to be negotiated are the same as those for Third Form entry (interview, satisfactory academic evidence and a positive school report), but the timelines are reduced and candidates take Cognitive Assessment Tests (CAT4) or UKiset rather than the ISEB Pre-Tests. The steps are as follows:

想要傳統英式教育，我認為全寄宿比例至為重要（但係唔係你講嘅有冇親戚朋友喺英國呢個原因），我日誌有講。

我求其講幾間全寄宿比例高嘅學校你可以去做吓功課：Uppingham, Repton, St Edwards, King's School Canterbury, Shrewsbury（呢啲未係最top嘅學校但係各方面都ok）。再次少少仲有Canford, Christ's Hospital, Sherborne Boys（男校）。

冇錯私校校長係有收生酌情權，可以收高或低一年年齡嘅學生。不過呢樣真係要逐間學校去問，一般都係跟足年齡指引。

其實一般寄宿私校我覺得年齡又唔系甘嚴，我仔都系讀完中三（佢6月出世）去英國讀Y10，讀完Y11轉第二間讀Y12都無問題，唔系一線果D其實大把選擇，新手無從入手最方便系揾2間升學Agent問下，將自己條件list出黎比Agent幫你篩選，然後你再上黎問下大家意見。
