ISF pre school currirculum is a joke. The only reason to enrol in pre school is if you are determined to apply for Foundation Year. If you are unsuccessful in getting into FY, then God bless you, what they learn at pre school is grossly inadequate for preparing your kid for local school interviewsor even for VSA/SIS equivalents. There's a big step up from pre school to FY/G1 in terms of Chinese curriculum.
If you are worried about money, you obviously shouldn't be considering ISF. And if you are a parent at ISF, you would know theres also an annual capital levy of HKD40,000 payable every year to cover infra development. And those are just the basics. But then many schools are like this. CIS admission at Grade 1 is 90% about the parents pedigree and bank balance sheet. In that regard, ISF is definitely not as bad. Kids can still get in without requiring parents having a couple of listcos.
May I ask why all prospective parents here didn’t consider ISF Pre-school back then if you really want your kid to study in ISF? While it isn’t 100% through train, at least the odd is higher.
I don't know. That's unusual as even if the kid didn't perform well in the first assessment, kids with sibling priorities should be notified for a re-assessment. But that might come a bit later.
Some kids with sibling priorities were notified 2 weeks ago they passed stage 1 and may or may not need stage 2 interview. Kids without sibling priorities probably still have to wait a bit.
