如果冇需要IB MYP，只係aim for IBDP，咁當然算有少少選擇。不過真係要記住Y9-11係會考GCSE，唔係IB style嘅教學。當然，去英國讀書根本就唔同喺香港讀書。就算喺英國讀GCSE唔等同IB，亦唔同香港讀DSE，再加上寄宿嘅活動，我認為肯定會開心過喺香港。

我噚啲，又講一次個人意見。去英國寄宿，其實寄宿先係重點。一間學校「成績」好唔好，同佢提供嘅寄宿體驗、pastoral care、甚至宿舍管理完全冇關。我認為全寄宿比例高，係其中一樣選校嘅重點（我嘅邏輯你可以睇翻我啲日誌去了解）。我冇話寄宿比例低嘅學校係唔好嘅學校，但係有得揀呢樣我個人認為要揀越高越好。

Y9去，揾間有A level/IB雙軌制sixth form嘅傳統英式寄宿學校，仲有三年時間慢慢諗。我認為用「文」人或者「理」人去劃分適合IB或者A level太過簡單化。當然如果好明顯係「理」人又唔喜歡寫文，確實讀IBDP係蝕底啲，但掉返轉又未見得係必然。可能有「文」人都唔特別喜歡寫文，有啲可能有某啲科特別喜歡（例如歷史）根本只想專注鑽研，有啲可能覺得第二語言，tok，ee係distraction等等。所以A level揀三科文科簡單直接冇煩惱。

當年和女兒一起選擇學校時，真的沒有想太多，我們一起看着每所學校的歴史、IB成績，再利用排除法，排除女校、不想去的地方等，最後落籍 Ardingly 。而我們也相信：一所校譽及成績上乘的學校，總不會把宿舍管理得一敗塗地吧？

當日出席女兒畢業典禮前，也順道參觀宿舍，看著她和好友、舍監、matrons 的互動，聽著她娓娓道來男女宿生持續一年的桌球爭奪戰，我很慶幸我們由心出發，讓女兒擁有優質的中學生活，好好準備下一站大學。而之前我提到畢業典禮中各個出眾的學生，真的讓我眼界大開呢！

家長自己留意清楚啦。就算Oakham 嘅所謂IB MYP，都係到Y9為止，Y10/11又係準備考GCSE（因為要公開試證書嘛）。Y9先入學，差不多要揀科，亦會開始準備教GCSE內容，仲算唔算係入"IB"學校呢...

英國學校梗係主要行British system，IB選擇少係正常喎。如果你係搵IB MYP programme更加唔使諗，基本上都只有國際學校有提供。

有限會提供IB嘅傳統英式寄宿學校，絕大部分都只係提供IBDP兩年嘅課程，所以Y9入學都係要先讀3年GCSE課程，之後先會喺最後兩年sixth form（year 12/13）提供IBDP。英國學校嘅睇法就係MYP年嘅課程唔夠rigorous，亦唔提供公開考試冇咗獨立認證嘅證書，所以一般唔會提供。

如果你係追求IB MYP課程，留喺香港把啦。如果唔計較先讀GCSE再轉IBDP，咁都有啲選擇。當然去英國寄宿，我個人認為梗係寄宿體驗先係重點，所以全寄宿比例亦係至為重要嘅考慮。要有高全寄宿比例嘅傳統英式寄宿中學又要有IBDP選擇，有：Rugby, Charterhouse, Wellington College, St Edward's呢啲的確都唔易考。

想請教一下，可推介一些IB寄宿學校嗎？我仔只是高小，打算Y9去寄宿，因不打算在香港升大學。佢今年由British curriculum school轉去IBPYP，進步好大，老公覺得IB好適合佢，想佢去寄宿都係讀IB。但見大家推介嘅學校都係British system，好少IB 咁？同埋IB寄宿學校係咪超難考的？先謝

Ardingly College 對學術有要求
日校生為主讀日校是不錯的選擇
寄宿的話有寄宿比例較高的其他選擇
例如 Oundle Uppingham Marlborough

恭喜你大細孖都入到好學校！我對英國升學唔熟，但我女兒入讀 Ardingly IB 也是和你和大家同一個原因。剛過去的六月尾參加學校的畢業典禮（YES 女兒畢業了！）我想說Ardingly 除了學術上乘，其他方面也令我眼界大開：Headboy 致辭魅力十足、儀式前女同學獻唱令人聽出耳油、連校長講稿也是一個喜愛文學的學生操刀！

女兒和一眾好友經過兩年努力，都拿到世界各地大學conditional or unconditional offer 。而三日前 IB 放榜她也順利獲得好成績！作為家長的我對學校覺得很滿意
