仔有speech delay, 相信IS 比較適合及幫到小朋友。有同路人分享經驗嗎？

Sen 當中只有ADHD需要五六歲先可以確診有冇, 如果你話其他自閉症傾向,基本上兩至三歲都已經可以知道

之所以坊間的機構如協康會，佢哋最細1.5yr可以幫你做評估

School wants to know it’s because whether they need extra resources to support your child or whether a child can learn in normal classroom setting. Also they normally assign certain # to take kids with needs.

If you think your child will be no different in academic learnings etc, you can consider let them find out more when he goes on interview. In the app form there is usually a field to provide additional information / medical / etc, just put it there very briefly.

If you decide to be so open and honest, then may as well tell them before you apply. NAIS should be able to tell you an answer without submitting fees. Not sure about ICS. Both are getting very popular so they can be very selective. Or depends if they “think” they have resources. Be prepared they will ask for your ST report or even more.

我係IS新手，亦打算年尾再幫小朋友報ICS and NAIS.  application 最好交待有speech delay 嗎？如果交待，最好點交待？通常form都係問是否SEN, 但我都唔知現在算唔算。

樓主小朋友只有兩歲，可以急起直追。

如果入到ESF, 老師非常鼓勵學生表達自已，仲有，ESF 對SEN 學生支援 ...

舊年年尾有報，連submit video 機會都冇份!

我女2歲左右開始都係對陌生人會freeze左唔出聲，但喺 ...

囝確係講得少有delay，但有時明知佢識佢都唔肯講，真係好睇囝心情同興趣，ST亦都有comment 佢用mute mode instead of 喊嚟面對新環境同人，做咗兩次評估(一次speech另一次全面評估)亦有comment 佢有好强主見，所以先天對聲音說話唔敏感加性格令囝難開口。

冇研究過揾psychologist, 可分享多些嗎？

Speech delay 如果去到個程度影響學習，就一定係Special Educational Needs SEN.

根據英國教育部2019年1月統計，speech, language, communication needs 係SEN 中最大群組，佔整體SEN中22%

How long did it take for your boy to pick up?  And mind to share if your school is helpful on giving additional support to kids with speech delay kids?  If yes, which school is it?
