thanks for the info! so if we can switch to say pods local stream, is that better than kcs ? we hav ...
Can't say for sure as we don't know anyone personally who has been to KCS. General feedback online though is that KCS is good to get into their primary school, but difficult for KCS kindergarten grads to get into other better local schools.
Anyway we also got KCS PM offer, thinking of declining as most likely we'll go to PODS. Unless if we get into Victoria then that will probably be our top choice. We are leaning towards IS at the moment but still want the option to go for local school, as our child is still too young to see which is more suitable.

International stream is only English and Mandarin. If you want Cantonese then it needs to be local stream. My understanding is international stream has English and Mandarin home room teachers, while local stream is English and Cantonese home room teachers with Mandarin classes, so yes it will be less Mandarin for local stream. Just bear in mind local school interviews will usually be in cantonese, while IS will be in English unless you are native Mandarin speakers (and even then only schools that have major focus on Chinese will conduct interviews in Mandarin). So having less Mandarin isn't such a big issue for kindergarten.
I believe school fees are the same for both streams, but the details haven't been announced yet for 2019-20 school year.
We are also deciding whether to send our son to Pods for PN in 2019. We got offer for their international stream AM. We haven't decided whether to send him to IS or local school for primary yet so want to leave open both options. We are a predominantly English speaking family at home but want him to learn Cantonese and Mandarin. Not sure if local stream will mean too little time for Mandarin.
Any advice? How much is the school fees for local stream PN?
