朋友個仔已在此校2年，多運動，學校成績一般，學費可傾，有9折 !

網上資料睇到 :

位於英國西南部郊區的小型寄宿學校，提供小四至中七「一條龍」教育，校內學生約 350 人，約 20% 學生於學校寄宿。Shebbear College 的學費較一般寄宿學校相宜，並容許學生於期中假（Half-Term）在宿舍留宿。成績方面，過去五年來（2011-2016）均有約 50% 至 60% 學生在英國高考考獲 A*-B。

Try Haileybury College, Dauntsey's School and Bloxham School. These 3 all have entry at Year 7 and go all the way to Year 13.
Alternatively Clifton College has its own prep school and St Peter's School (York) also has its own prep school called St Olave's.
None of these are 'hothouse' schools but I consider all of them very decent schools with good reputaion for their pastoral care.

These 3 schools are all prep schools, that is they don't have Year 9 or above, meaning that you are going to have to look for another school for your son after 2 years. Out of the 3, I think Dragon School probably has the best reputation.You need to look at each school's leaver destination, that is where the majority of their students go for Year 9. Dragon, being in Oxford, will likely have close link with schools like Abingdon, whereas Packwood Haugh, being near Shrewsbury, will probably have close link with Shrewsbury School, and Sandroyd will probably have close link with Stowe.
Personally I prefer schools which either go all the way to Year 13, like Oundle and Sevenoaks, or have their own senior schools, like King's Canterbury and St Peter's York.

You may wish to take a look at Ellesmere College.

通常agent會睇你香港校內成績，部分再加assessment （英文、數學），再根據你要求介紹學校。去兩、三間agent問下，睇下佢哋介紹乜嘢ranking學校俾你，作為參考。

不少英國寄宿學校是由 Year 9 開始的，所以報 Year 7 必須想清楚將來想讀甚麼學校。
有些學校如 Oundle 是由 Year 7 開始的，考進去後就可以一直升上去直至報大學。
有些學校如 King’s Canterbury 是由 Year 9 開始，但有自己直屬的 junior school ，考進 junior school 時要看清楚是否可以直升上去 senior school（不是所有學生都可以直接升上 senior school，有些要再考入學試）。
另有很多 prep schools 只可以讀到 Year 8，所以讀兩年後又要再找學校。

除了half term, term end以外, 還有Exeat, 阿仔學校一年有6個Exeat (星期五至日, 三日兩夜), 每間學校都不同, 搵學校要知道的範圍很廣泛, 好難三言兩語說給你知, 建議你先爬文 (2016年度入學, 2014年入學)再發問

其實除非你已有心儀學校，否則搵多幾間agent問下，講出你同小朋友既要求，等sgent俾幾間你地選擇，因為每人要求唔同，我覺得好好既學校，只係適合我既小朋友，但未必適合你既小朋友啊！所以搵多幾間agent比較下會好啲！
