I agree that the owner of the thread should pay visit to both schools before making decision. She should ask her kid his/her feeling of both schools as he/she is the end-user. However, I don't agree that her choice for an international school should barely base on results of AP and university admission. Students' personal development is highlighted in international school. Different international schools have its own spirit and academic atmosphere. She needs to find one that suits her kid. Choosing an international school but finally with the aim of "chasing" academic rewards, there is indifference in studying in an international school and a local school.
I don't know how high the turnover of teachers is at CAIS but it seems to me that teachers of international schools do come and go. It's not uncommon to see some ten new faces in a new term to replace teachers that left. Some just change post in the same school. Some want to gain international experience so they spend a few years in each country. Some are missionaries and come to serve Christ. Some go back to their home countries when their kids start middle or high schools, when they get married or for other family reasons. They may leave for another higher pay teaching job or simply for a career change.

What do you feel about CAIS high school?
I know a couple of christian families who have transferred their kids from local schools to CAIS (junior high or high school). Parents were satisfied and the kids were happy. Family atmosphere was strong. Christian values were emphasized. The kids furthered their edu in Canadian or local university.
An ICS teaching assistant who graduated from CAIS once told me that the two schools were very similar.
All the way round alberta curriculum until grade 12 and at the same time, you can opt for 2-3 AP subjects in grade 12. This is what I heard in the seminar.

What do you think?
in terms of academic, caring, spiritual life, teen growth.......
Since this topic is asking the comparison between high schools, I try to draw the attention to the discussion about curriculum, especially the one leading to university.
