我見維多利亞都有小學,中學,DP課程, 他們是否國際學校?是否也像一般國際學校重啟發, 思考, 主動學習, 謝謝!!

As I know, numberous of them are not from Victoria kinder.

For year one students, they have to be Vic kindergarten, siblings or debentures holders. Other years no restrictions. Hope this helps.

My cousin 's kid P1 is studying at VSA, her nephews are also studying there at P6 and P3. I also met with her classmates in person. She said Eng speaking children play as a small group. Natually the biggest family is Cantonese speaking , Mandarin group is small too. They only talk in Eng during classes and they think its normal.

Thank you ddjjbaby. Will keep the faith. (Although chance is slim)The dragon babies are having a tough year for year one for both locals and IB schools.

There will be a Y1 registration around early of June, after Government Primary lottery allotment. Probably, there will be call waitings afterwards.

你申請幾年級，我個仔申請 Y7，3月底拿到offer，學校話4月9日前交Captial Levy, 否則就不留位，唔知其他年級點？你可以過幾日打去 admission office 問下，話唔定有人未註冊。

我只是按我所知，分享下。好讓大家為孩子選擇時有所留意。我所說的是朋友孩子親口分享。那當然孩子交了邊組朋友也會有影響。其他國際學校幾乎英文係共通語言，這很不同，也令孩子不會因語言而限制了交際。

維多利亞幼稚園的英普班，我認為非常。英文的語景十分好。小朋友只用英文為共通語言。

我朋友和鄰居的孩子是學生，他們一出課室就全是廣東話。你也可在學校附近的小巴，巴士看看。我也親身到學校參觀。三種言語在學校，同鄉小孩子都一起玩，講同一語言。

先講清楚，維記係好學校，奇怪只係點解會話校內係用廣東話多。

維記學生比較多東方人，由於普通話係必修，純外國家庭學生比例上相對其他國際學校少。自然形成英文比較港式(不是貶義)是正常的，中文程度比一般國際學校好也是自然。

學術不是最頂尖但維記學生比大部分學生開朗活潑好動，性格鮮明呢樣比同區其他個幾間國際學校做得好。維多利亞整個教育系統未必係成績上做到最勁，但無可否認係自信建立及性格塑造等，維記係做得好好。

如果想小朋友開心，成績中上，維記係好好。

其實唔容易令孩子喜歡中文，vsa小學已是相對中英並重，聽過小學中文近年深了，但整體教學氛圍是英文主導, 近年中學提供法文和西班牙文為第三語言，相對中文時間可能少了。我唔知你要求中文程度如何，vsa自己一手凑大的孩子亦有能力考dp chinese as first language, 成績都ok，有些有能力亦不会選chinese a.

真的嗎?
我觀察係相反。英文當然不及ESF等純英文學校，但維記學生問題係中文俾你想象中差。
校內學生多是用英文溝通但算不上是NATIVE。

維記學生大多活潑好動，但如果要比較「內功」，傳統學校還是比較深。

I'm considering Victoria Kindergarten as it seems to be the prerequisite for VSA. Do you have kids in VSA? How do you know most kids speak Cantonese in school?

大部分小孩子在學校內都是講廣東話，要睇你心目中國際學校的expectation.有人話其實等如本地英文學校，只是上課才須要講英文。也聽過小朋友他談話內容圍繞無記劇集。當然也有小數外國小朋友用英文作playground language.
