但oxford 應該俾cambridge tough, 篩走多啲applicants, 所以阿仔唔想期望咁高。

呀囝上年考完Cambridge筆試都話超難，最後有得去in。Oxbridge個試是用來cut走一批未達佢地要求的申請者先，所以覺得難是正常，未到最後都未知有否得in，你叫呀仔唔好咁快打定輸數！

2nd November 2017: This is the date you will sit the MAT. All applicants for Maths and its joint schools must sit the test on this date, otherwise your application will not be considered further.

Early December 2017: Around this time you are told whether you have been shortlisted for interview or not, on the basis of your MAT score and UCAS form.

January 2018: You find out whether you've received an offer. After this you may ask for feedback from the college you applied to, including what MAT score you achieved.

Imperial college 的 second round overseas interview 會13/11/17 sent email 交additional personal statement and technical question. 19/11/17前要交.Oxford係2/11/17有去考Maths admission test, 但幾時先知道有冇機會shortlist?

如果海外學生想ICL安排面試，須主動提出。
If you have submitted a UCAS application from outside Europe and know that you will be visiting the UK between late September and early March please let us know by sending an email to [email protected] quoting your UCAS ID and we will be happy to arrange a visit to the Department and an interview that fits with your plans, provided that your application is competitive. Please contact us as far in advance of your visit as you possibly can but at minimum not less than two weeks before.  Note that we will not be available between Thursday 14 December and 5 January 2018 inclusive.

未有消息, Oxford sent左email問如果being selected 是否會考慮去英國還是Skype interview.

阿仔尋晚去咗倫敦，痴同學去人哋家姐屋企sleep over, 今日去ICL interview. 咁啱佢學校science department 星期二晚俾mock interviews 佢哋，應該有啲幫助。然後下星期in Manchester.
尋晚又收到Sheffield 嘅follow up email, 都係想佢過去open day 同面對面interview, instead of Skype. 俾埋accommodation 同£50 transportation allowance. 本來路程太遠，又唔係心水選擇，所以諗住skype interview 算，而家唔好意思推(已經推過一次），阿仔可能月尾又要in 多間。

小兒做過少少 DSE 同 GCE A Level 的比較，佢本身考 DSE 的，不過就幫人補習過 A Level。就數理黎計，A Level 要考既範圍大過 DSE，不過題目就比較 straightforward﹔而 DSE 考既範圍較細，不過就專出 tricky 題目去陰學生。

至於拎 A*/A 或 5*/5 的百份比，雖然不能直接比較，不過都可以參考下 2017 幾科數理科的數據，發覺其實相差並不是太大︰

Physics GCE A-Level  A* (9.2%); A/A* (29.2%)
Physics DSE 5*+ (11.6%); 5+ (28.6%)

Chemistry GCE A-Level A* (8.6%); A/A* (31.7%)
Chemistry DSE 5*+ (10.7%); 5+ (26.4%)

Further Maths GCE A-Level  A* (30.1%); A/A* (58.2%)
M1/M2 DSE 5*+ (15.2%); 5+ (38.3%)

* Core Maths 就完全不能比較，因為 DSE Maths 是必修科不是選修科

至於 CO，如果報數理科，5*55 好 typical，Oxbridge 同 Imperial 出既 CO 最高都係 5*5*5，其餘 Russell Group 既最低都差不多要 555。

Thanks for your sharing.  Too bad my kid changed her mind last minute n we didn’t have the chance to revisit our options carefully.  Therefore we just rely on the school counselor.

u mean Imperial?
you can go to The Student Roomand search 2018 Imperial Applicants to see the feedback of international students there. You can ask question there too.
