Kellet Reception 2017

Did anyone received any updates or news on the Kellet Reception intake for 2017? Is it true some children don't required assessment? If no assessment what do they based on acceptance or not?

What's your position the tme when u applied?

And it really depends on which month the kid is born.

Just curious, when did u apply Kellet? I applied in 2014 when my son is less than 2 yr old, and as of last week, school replied me my son is still at no. 360 (initially 500 students ahead of him) and unlikely to have a placement for him for the next several years. This is so hilarious!
They should have informed the applicant the no of waitlist before in taking new applicants. It is like ripping off money to me.

Can you elaborate more on the difference apart from the holidays?
Nord doesn't work out for us now becos they have a new campus in Tin Wan for younger kids and when u have 2 kids in different year groups it will be very difficult. It's not the same as Kellet where 2 campus have the same year group that feeds to one senior school.

We didn't check. In fact, the thing about the kid being born later in the school calendar year as being disadvantaged never come across my mind until now!(emoji)

Australian Int'l School and Kellett are very different. Consider location (Is Kellett KB?) and curriculum. Calendar would be a major consideration also; does a long Summer holiday Dec/Jan work for you?

Why not consider Nord?

We were at waiting list 80ish in September. But we have no special priorities or privileges
