the 70% percent requirements are those schools (mostly new schools) who r subsidised by the government e.g. got a cheap land/campus from government to build their campus, the education bureau will impose the conditions like that.  e.g. Malvern and NAIS.  For school that owns their own land/campus, they dont have this restrictions. e.g. stamford

Does anyone know what the criteria/ basis is for the school to choose their students? I heard of kids who "perform" well during the interview but did not get an offer.  I have also heard of kids who did not respond to anything the teacher asked but got offer.

aside from LUCK, i am wondering if it has to do with gender ratio (number of boys vs girls) and local vs foreigner ratio (i think international schools are required to have at least 70% of foreign passport holders... something like that?)?

anyone any idea?

early apply have useful, even baby birth on Dec, my daughters class many Dec babies

I see. So December babies may be quite far down the queue even if their parents apply as soon as the birth cert is available?!

We also had the interview on 6 Dec but we submitted the application in Dec 2014 ...

nope.   we got the interview invitation one day before the interview as someone gave up their interview spot.  didn't expect to get an interview that early given our position on the waitlist
