各位前輩，小女明年考ＤＳＥ，心儀BBA　(Law)&LLB 　據悉神科唔睇Best Five　只看 4 Core Subjects and Best 2 Elective Subjects，是否屬實？

小女於band 1 女中成績屬above average，其他科目有幾科全級頭幾名。　可惜英文語文科在校內成績偏低，合格但分數不高，校內同學英文水評相對高所以老師說不用擔心。如果心儀BBA　(Law)&LLB　唔睇Best Five　只看 4 Core Subjects　英文就大件事。

請指教。

All depends which university and which programs.

HKUST treats M1/M2 as one elective.

Some universities and programs treat M1/M2 higher weighting in score calculation.

In certain cases, students may manage to get a 5 or 5* in English but are not truly proficient in the language in order for them to perform well in Law at ease. No doubt some people are simply good at taking exams.

If a student not like English, most likely his or her English standard below the par, the chance get into LLB should be very slim. No need to waste a couple of years in Law School.

所以中三多左幾科必修 (Bio, Chem, Phy) (我女兒學校係咁) 再按自己興趣於中四選科, 將來讀大學都知邊科啱自己多D.

咁有能力就梗係慾望大啦~ 有能力的, 都想更上一層樓. 好少有同學為理想放棄神科選修神學/ART/西方歷史...(舉個例)

唔算做迷失只可叫現實..... 成年人都會找一份有前途的工作, 如你喜歡藝術也不會找一份美術館看更做掛. (當然外國大有人在,但香港難D, 樓價太貴, 隨時劏房都住唔起. 理想與麵包之取捨而已 !

純個人意見, 見諒~

是的，神校同学不多不少都有争竞心，DSE要拿高分之余，哪间大学，哪个系，都不要被比下去，但往往迷失了，不知道自己到底爱什么，适合读什么。

不單是語文問題, 佢地有足夠語文能力. 校內尖子, 好多人對讀神科有種憧景, 但入到去真係吾適合自己都無辦法.

BBA LAW requires grade 5 or above in both Chinese and English.

* Just double checked the HKU website and they only listed grade 5 and grade 4 or above for English and Chinese respectively. Good Luck.

I know a HKU law student who got 5** in English but came from 中文中學 and she had a hard time at the beginning to cope with the readings. She finally managed to get upper 2nd class when she graduated this year. Applicants of similar background should be prepared to work hard to survive the law programme, bearing in mind that DSE English is only at second language level and many of their classmates are of IS background who are strong in English reading.
