If we planning to uk at 13+, how long we should prepare for the entrance test? Any good center to recommend? Alpha Acaxxxxx in central, EOK Acaxxxx in wanchai, Arch Educxxx or Brandon xxxxxx in causeway bay, any comment? Thanks
I think it is necessary to visit the schools that you're thinking applying, as during the school visit they will ask their existing pupils similar to your child,s age to take you around and you can get lot more info for them that are not available in their website. You can also ask locals their view of the school and it's pupils. This will gives you a much better understanding of the school overall.
Planning 2019 for year 9, thinking to enroll CLC, St Mary Calne, Beneden, Downe House, Badminton, Headington, St Catherine, St Swithuns, will choose 5 or 6 for registration. However, CLC will have earlier assessment on year 7 to secure the place. So thinking how to prepare the entrance exam. Thanks
My son attended Brandon's 13+ English lessons prior to his entrance exams. He attended the group sessions; occasionally they did past entrance test papers of school like Winchester, Eton and Westminster. The course did help to enrich his writing and literature skills. My son also did Bond11+online to practice English, Maths, verbal and non verbal exercises. This ensures he is comfortable with the UK school 11+ entrance exam coverages and get use to the style of questions as they are similar to the entrance exam of one of our target school.
At the time we only knew Brondon offers 13+ courses so signed up for it, and we had no idea what the entrance exam coverage at the time so we thought preparation was necessary.
